Iconic
pairing: Oscar Piastri x reader
summary: you make it your life goal to embarrass Oscar and annoy him, keeping things fun in his life
masterlist
âââââââââââ
âHeâs so cute,â a girl sighs in the McLaren fan zone.
âHe really is,â you smile, leaning against the barrier.
âOh my god, hi!â the girl gasps, recognizing you from your boyfriendâs Instagram. You havenât had social media since you were cyber bullied in middle school, so you were a mystery to his fans. It also let you go to fan zone and have fun with them. You also run a fan page for Oscar on Instagram.
âHi, I hope you donât mind that I am standing here?â you say, holding a folded poster in one of your hand and an arm full of friendship bracelets that Oscar helped you make.
âNot at all, oh my god. Sorry, itâs just that you are so iconic,â the girl says and you quirk your eyebrow.
âHow so?â
âYou donât have social media which is iconic, but all the fans know how nice you are, and you are always hanging out with us here,â one of her friends say, you nod along.
âOf course I would be here, I gotta support Papaya boys,â you smile. âWanna help me embarrass Osc?â you ask the group around you.
âIt would legit be our honor,â the one laughs, you laugh with her.
âHere,â you take off some friendship bracelets and exchange them with the girls.
âYou are the best WAG,â another girl says and you blush a little, dutifully putting on each bracelet.
âI really do try. I even run a fan account for Osc,â you laugh, not revealing more than that.
âNo way, thatâs actually icon behavior,â the first girl says and you grin.
âWant to see the sign?â you ask, excited to show your latest sign off. Oscar tried to look but you refused to even work on it until he left the hotel.
âYes!â you are quick to unfold the sign. Your neat handwriting carefully placed each letter just large enough so Oscar could read it.
âOmg, I canât wait to see his reaction,â one of the fans say, the area is brimming full now, ready for the drivers to come out in a couple minutes.
âMake sure you get pictures of his reaction, heâs so cute when heâs embarrassed,â you giggle, getting ready to hold the sign in front of you as Lando walk onto the stage, excited to see what you wrote this time. He reads it and laughs, turning towards where Oscar is entering. You watch his brows furrow as he reads it. Oscar- I want to eat you up like a pastry :). The Australianâs face turns bright red as he laughs and winks at you, trying to hide his awkward embarrassment at the pickup line. It wasnât your best, but it was the perfect amount of cringe. Lando gives you a thumbs up from the stage.
âYou were right, his face was priceless,â the fan says as you watch Oscar push back his mousy brown hair before putting the hat back on. You swear you might be drooling while watching him, but you catch his gaze falling on you too.
âI LOVE YOU OSCAR!â you yell as he waves goodbye to the fans, giving you a wink. You make sure all of your friendship bracelets are given away before thanking the fans for being cool about you chilling with them. You head back to the paddock, scanning your pass, and beelining to the McLaren motorhome.
âY/n, can I have that sign?â Lando asks and you happily hand it over.
âAs long as you donât use it to steal my man, have at it,â you chuckle as the Brit hugs you in thanks before walking away.
âEat me like a pastry?â Oscar gives you an amused smile. âYou do know my parents watch that, right?â His favorite thing about you his your playfulness, you can be serious when needed, but your teasing and jests keep his life fun.
âOh, I know, your mom helped me with that one, the fans loved it too,â you laugh. âYou did look so hot up there,â you slightly exaggerate checking him out.
âWhy donât we go back to my drivers room and you show me how youâd like to eat me?â Oscar whispers in your ear, trying to seduce you, but you resist.
âOh, Iâd probably start with the thighs, best muscle to fat ratio in my opinion. Hm, now Iâm kinda hungry, what is in hospitality?â you ask, moving towards the food area. Oscar wraps an arm around your waist, pulling you back towards him as he picks you up to carry you to his room.
âNope, donât start things you canât finish,â he says, clearly a little hot and bothered.
âOsc, Iâm not a cannibal, I donât actually eat humans,â you tease, not giving up on what you started. Oscar clearly had a different interpretation, maybe the right one, maybe not.
âShut up before I make you shut up,â Oscar growls in your ear, quickly turning you on and making you drop the joke.
âYes, Mister Piastri,â you say, knowing itâs affect on him as he drags you into his room, locking the door behind him. Oscar was a couple minutes late to his meeting, Lando holding back giggles as Oscar walks into the room.
âI see the fans arenât the only ones who love Y/n,â Lando whispers to Oscar, who shoots him a glare. Meanwhile, you scroll Instagram using your fan page, laughing as some of them post the pic of you and the sign, the comments calling on your to reveal yourself via the fan page. You make a post about it as well just to blend in, thirsting over Oscar as well. You canât imagine if he ever finds out about the account.
âGood luck, Osc. Drive safe,â you kiss him before he puts his helmet on.
âI am always safe,â he gives you his usual awkward smile, you smile back as he puts his helmet on. He squeezes your hand before walking over to the car. You take a seat in the garage, the headphones unflattering as always.
Your stomach drops as there is a crash late in the race, but you are instantly relieved when you realize that Oscar made in through and no one was hurt. He ends up in P2 for the race and you join the team in celebrating at the podium.
âThank you for being my number one fan, even when you run a secret fan account,â Oscar hugs you in his drivers room.
âHow? What?â you play if off but he just laughs, pulling out his phone.
âMy private account follows you,â oscar laughs, and you just stare at him.
âThatâs actually you? I thought it was a fan,â you quickly pull out your phone and request to follow his account, which he immediately accepts so that you can see all the cute posts he makes about you.
âStop, Osc, youâre basically running a fan account for me,â you say, admiring his posts, including one from today of you holding the sign. You quickly type a comment that has the other drivers replying like crazy claiming that they found your secret account.
âYou two decent?â Mark Weberâs voice says through the door, after a confirmation from Oscar, he lets himself in.
âWhy wouldnât we be decent, Mark?â you ask from the couch.
âI used to be a driver too, and after your fan zone sign nothing is off the table,â Mark shrugs causing you and Oscar to blush. âAnyway, I just wanted to tell you great race, I will see you in a few days,â Mark tells Oscar before leaving the room again. You still arenât sure how Oscar was able to bag the former F1 driver as his manager. Oscar yawns and you notice how tired he is, sleepy Oscar is your favorite version of Oscar.
âAlright, letâs get you back to the hotel, first loser,â you tease, helping him gather his things to leave.
âHey,â he groans at the jab.
âYou could be Lando NoWins, my love,â turning your jests onto his teammate.
âThat is true,â Oscar yawns, holding your hand as he leads you to his chauffeured car.
âOsc, would you marry me if I was a worm?â
âWho said Iâd marry you at all?â
âAlright, thatâs it, Iâm deleting your fan page,â you pull out your phone. Oscar basically tackles you in the back seat as he lunges for the phone.
âI take it back, Iâll marry you right now if you want,â Oscar pleads.
âWho said I wanted to marry you? Do I look like a worm?â you retort, putting your phone away. Oscar just sighs in defeat.
âGod gives is strongest people his greatest challenges, Iâm not strong enough for this,â he groans a few seconds later, the tiredness setting in.
âSorry, baby, I promise you will get unlimited cuddles when we get back to the room,â you smile softly, holding his hand tight.
âI love you,â he whispers, his beautiful brown eyes gazing into your eyes.
âI love you too.â

I'm the dad now
"Come on Dad, this is gonna hurt both of us. Just stop fighting and let go. You're not gonna win."
The hairy man was alone in the bathroom fighting with himself, screaming in pain, grabbing his neck and trying to comfort himself. He spoke to himself, which may sound schizophrenic, but this wasn't the case. He was being possessed for the first time by his teenage son, Joe, who had big troubles at school for skiping classes. Joe wasn't usually the type to skip school, but there was this bully he wanted to get back at. He found way to possess someone, but it took a lot of practice to do. You couldn't just possess someone asleep, but them being awake was the thing that made it so hard. They fought and the more they fought the harder it became to stay in the body. But after many many hours of possessing multiple students of his for just a few seconds, he finally felt like he could be ready to possess his bully now. If it weren't for the letter from school that came in mail this morning. Joe opened it and saw that they asked his father to come by for a meeting with the principal. "Oh, no. My dad can't see this. I have to do something." An evil and slightly reckless idea followed.
And as you guessed correctly, Joe's idea was to just possess his father and go to the meeting himself. Did he think about the consequences? No. But that didn't matter now, because his father still faught for his body pretty hard. The only lucky thing for Joe was that his father won't remember the process of possession.
"I win dad. I am stronger. You have to sleep now and let it go!"
Few minutes of fight followed and then quiet.
Joe laughed with tears in his eyes. Sweat all ower his body from the fight. "You could have atleast made my possession a bit easier than this, dad."
Now was the perfect time to hurry up, dress dad's body and meet the principal. But Joe's teenage mind went to a different place. His dad can be late. It's about Joe's life. Not him. He only has to show up
Joe P.O.V.
"Damnnnnn dad! You have really been hitting the gym recently, haven't you? Maaan look at me" I didn't expect this to be so hot. I was a bit grossed out possessing my own dad, but now I might actually enjoy this.
"I never noticed, how really handsome you are, daddy." Hairy pecs, beautiful biceps. You're a real man, I'd like to be some day. Well... not someday. Now."
"It's actually not your biceps now, dad. It's all mine. Just look at it. So amazing. The boys at school would be so jealous. No they WILL be jealous. Just wait till I show them who I am now."
"Oh dad. Why the hell have you been hiding all this from me. I would have never thought about possessing that fucker Bill. Why should I even bother now about some dumb school shit. I can be an adult man for fuck's sake. I am the man now. I am my DAD."
"These muscles are so firm and tight. I wonder how many times a week you have been going. Might get used to it now." Wait, am I really thinking what I am thinking? Do I want to stay like this. No, this must be the after efect of possession, not just a desire to be the hairy dad of mine.
"Haha, I'm so heavy now that I'd most certainly beat all the boys in the football club. Well maybe not the quarterback, but everyone else I might. Maybe I should get Trevor to possess him. We could enjoy being two studs together. I would be a bit older, but I'm sure he won't mind. Especially not while we are exploring our new bodies."
"Which brings me to this awful towel." I dropped it on the floor where it belongs
"Wohohooo, much better. Damn dad, the razor stays clean all the time for a reason right? I won't change that don't worry. I'm pretty sure Trevor likes his men hairy. Not like he would know what a man's touch is like or even sex. But tonight he will. I will let him scratch my beard, kiss my biceps, massage my back."
"Oh boy, I have to go take care of this beast now. Don't want to cum in the principals office. Haha, I love being my dad."

I'd love to do that for you! hehe
Sorry if there are typos i was on a road trip đ
...
"you came.." "you called."
Toph x Fem!Reader
â°ď¸đĽ
Summary: After Toph's childhood best friend is banished from Gaoling along with her family, she finds out that all she needed to do was ask her to come back to her.
Trigger Warning: Implied Abuse, smooching
Reader Info: Female intended, Firebender, Lesbian,
Extra: Toph is aged up to 16! The story of Avatar takes longer in this AU
...
The letters were the only thing Toph had of her. She was the only person outside of her family that bothered to learn how to write braille, so it had more meaning that anyone else realized.
(Y/N) was the type of person you could never let go. She was kind, considerate, and still had the ability to be playful and hilarious. She never minded that Toph was blind, and supported her through all of the things she wanted to accomplish -- like being the blind bandit. She was like a fire, burning the passion in Toph's heart.
Toph met (Y/N) in school, before Toph was homeschooled. They were both seven, and the whole class was practicing their writing. Toph sat there quietly, listening to the snickers of her taunting classmates.
"We're going to practice our letters."
The teacher's voice was old, and Toph could sense that she didn't want to deal with the rowdy kids. A boy giggled beside her, before Toph heard the shuffling of his clothes, raising his hand.
"How is she supposed to write?"
The boy pointed to Toph, and the class laughed. Toph frowned, crossing her arms and scrunching her eyes closed. She felt her face become hot with embarrassment.
"Oh shut up Ying!"
A girl said aggressively, scoffing at the boy's remark.
Toph heard stomping growing louder and louder, until Ying was shoved roughly against the wooden floors of the classroom. Small gasps were heard from around, causing Toph to smile slightly.
"Ms (L/N)!"
The teacher yelled, running over to check up or Ying.
The boy held the back of his head, tears rolling down his chubby cheeks. (Y/N) frowned, crossing her small arms and looking at the roof.
"Do not push people!"
(Y/N) groaned, crouching down so she was eye level with Toph.
She heard (Y/N)'s feet pivoting on the floor, causing her to turn her head in the direction of the noise.
"Don't worry -- i won't let them bully you."
Toph stopped writing her after her parents told her to, 'not write that evil girl'. It was only eight months after their family was sent away from Gaoling, but it felt like an eternity to Toph.
Toph didn't think she was evil.
The day was so unexpected, so sudden. Toph was the only person in the village that knew about (Y/N)"s family and their origin, who they were.
Two generations before (Y/N), her family arrived in Gaoling as refugees from the fire nation. Her grandfather, an ex-general, was sent away for treason. He took his people with him, ending up in Toph's village after a year of travel.
(Y/N) was born a firebender. Her family always encouraged her to hide the power, to act as a non-bender. It was easy, at first, since she had no one to teach her -- until Toph.
Even though Toph wasn't a firebender, she still told (Y/N) fighting tactics to be a bender from her classes. In secret, (Y/N) would practice. She would practice long and hard because she thought she might need it someday.
That was her demise.
"When's your next match?"
(Y/N) asked in the darkness of the cave, a small fire blooming from her palm. Toph thought for a moment, her fighting stand loosening. (Y/N) tossed the flame between her palm, the warm light reflecting on her face.
They were both ten years old. Toph was the youngest fighter in the secret earthbending matches, and (Y/N) attended all of them. She was the Blind Bandit's biggest fan.
"Tomorrow evening, i think."
(Y/N) hummed, leaning back on the rock she was sitting on. She winced as her left arm grazed against the rock, still raw from her injury.
"How does it feel?"
Toph asked, causing (Y/N) to look up.
"What?"
"The burn, how bad does it hurt?"
(Y/N) let out a small, 'oh', before looking down to her arm. It was bandaged up with a white cloth gauze, hiding the evidence of her parents anger.
She shrugged, flipping her arm over to inspect the bandages.
"I mean, it's fine. Doesn't hurt as bad as it did when mom got mad."
Toph nodded solemnly, huffing out an exasperated breath.
"You should really tell someone, y'know."
She was only greeted with a groan, knowing that meant no.
"I can't -- they'll wonder how she burnt me. It's kind of hard to lie when it's the shape of a handprint.."
(Y/N) laughed weakly, leaning back carefully so to not bump the scar. She sighed, closing her eyes and dropping the flame.
Toph dropped the rock she was levitating in front of her, hitting the ground with a 'thump!'. She turned her feet, walking over to where (Y/N) laid.
"You don't need to comfort me."
(Y/N) didn't need to open her eyes to see what Toph was doing. She would lay next to her, hold (Y/N) close. There was always something between them, something unidentifiable, something that normal friends didn't have.
They never really recognized this 'feeling', only letting it happen. Even if they did like eachother, their family would approve.
But they don't.
Right?
"Oh come on, you know you need it."
Toph crawled onto the flat boulder scrambling over to where (Y/N) was. She reached her hand over her torso, wrapping her hand around (Y/N)'s waist.
Even though she said she didn't want it, (Y/N) leaned in. Toph was significantly smaller than her, but she still placed her forehead on her collar.
"See. Toph is always right."
(Y/N) scoffed, roller her eyes under her eyelids. She sighed, thinking about what to say next.
Her face was horribly hot, and she was actually thankful that Toph was blind for once. Despite her 'luck', Toph could still hear her heart beating at a surprisingly fast speed.
"Hey, why's your hear-"
"Wanna hear about a new trick i learned?!"
(Y/N) quickly interrupted Toph, wanting to avoid the question. She removed herself from Toph's grasp, scooting off the boulder. She stood up, dusting off her uniform and clearing her throat.
Toph shifted, sitting fully. She felt a stab in het heart, confused as to why (Y/N) was so sudden to leave.
"Sure..?"
(Y/N) shifted awkwardly, swallowing the lump in her throat.
"Okay so.."
As she described the move to Toph, rolling a ball of fire from the top of her hands across her arms and over her shoulders, making its way to her other hand, a rumbling feeling settled in Toph's stomach
She tried to listen to (Y/N), but every few seconds she swore she heard footsteps echo in the floor.
"Hey (Y/N)-"
"See, you gotta move your hair so you don't catch fire."
Toph was now sure that the sounds were footsteps. Her stomach sank.
"(Y/N) hold on-"
(Y/N) was too focused on trying to not catch fire to listen to Toph's worried plea. Toph stood up, walking quickly over to the firebender.
"Wait, stop for a moment-"
"Ms. Beifong?"
Oh spirits.
Toph turned to the voice, her face going pale. She grew sick at the voice, recognizing as one of her bodyguards.
(Y/N) let the fire fade out, also looking at the bodyguard. He looked at (Y/N), stepping back.
He looked back to Toph, beckoning her over to him.
"Ms. Beifong, step away from her."
Toph shook her head quickly, running a few steps forward to the bodyguard.
"Listen, shes-"
"She's a firebender!"
The bodyguard grasped Toph's wrists, shoving her behind him. She almost fell back out of the entrance of the cave, but caught herself.
She reached out, shooting up. a wall of rock from the floor in front of the bodyguard. He stopped in his tracks, turning around to look at Toph.
(Y/N) cowered, breaking a sweat. She was caught.
...
Toph sat on a log around the campfire, holding five pieces of paper in her thin hands.
She rubbed her thumb over the bumpy text, sighing softly.
A week ago, while the Gaang was stopping off in Ba Sing Se for a quick bite, Toph had an idea. It had been four years since she left her family behind, but this whole time, she never wrote a letter to (Y/N).
She thought it'd be stupid -- surely she wouldn't even remember who Toph was. There was a possibility that she also left her family, or, the worst outcome, she hated Toph for never speaking to her.
Toph had injured her ankle after hopping off Appa earlier that day, and Katara said that she should stay at camp instead of going out to find food with the rest of her friends. She was, of course, very angry by this, but it was four vs. one.
So, she listened to the crackling of the fire, petting a sleeping Momo softly and reading the letters. It was her guilty pleasure.
As she read the last letter she ever received from (Y/N), she heard a stick break in the woods. Both her and Momo looked up, ears perking at the noise.
Toph jumped up, limping over to where Aang left his staff. Momo chirped behind her hopping over to her hurt ankle and holding onto it.
"Momo, shut up."
She hissed, grabbing the wooden staff. Toph turned her head to hear all of her surroundings, trying to find where the noise came from.
Ruffling of leaves to her left.
She turned and limped towards the campfire, going around it and facing a cluster of trees.
"I can hear you! Give up."
She yelled, getting into a fighting stance. She hissed, her hurt ankle not used to the pressure.
The crunching of leaves turned into soft footsteps, growing louder and louder until Toph swung the staff in front of her.
Then it came to a sudden stop.
A hand had caught it in its motion, stopping before Toph could hit the perpetrator. She let out a few curses, taking a step back.
She reached her hand out, lifting a few rocks to the side of the figure. Before she could launch the rocks at them, a cold palm graced their cheek.
She stopped in her tracks, startled by the feeling.
"What the-"
"Toph."
She swatted the hand from her face, surprised at the fact they knew her name.
"Who are you?"
"Toph."
And then she realized.
She opened her eyes wide, a small gasp choking out of her throat. The voice was deeper than she remembered, more mature and aged. Toph tilted her head, trying to process what was really going on.
Toph reached up, touching the tips of her fingers to their cheekbone. She slid it down her cheek, touching her jawline and holding the knob of her chin. Her fingers graced her soft lips, touching the tip of her nose and sliding up to run her fingers though the taller's hair.
She felt a sob in her throat, realizing who it was. Everything felt so familiar all of a sudden, like she was a little kid playing in the sun again.
"(Y/N)."
It was one word, just a simple utter of a name, but it held so much meaning to both of them. Toph hadn't said that name since she was eleven, not even bothering to speak of her to anyone.
She launched forward, bringing (Y/N) in for a tight hug. She was much taller now, towering over Toph's small figure. Her hair was longer, and she had the body of a woman -- not like the ten year old Toph remembered.
"Y-You got my letter?"
Toph felt so weird talking so weakly like this, but life felt so simple with (Y/N) there.
"Yeah, I did."
Toph could sense the smile through her words, only hugging (Y/N) tighter. She hugged back, holding the back of Toph's head with her hand. Her other landed on Toph's waist, bringing the shorter against her.
When sending the letter, she asked (Y/N) to come to Ba Sing Se. Toph never believed that she would actually come, let alone find her way miles out from the kingdom to find her.
"You came.."
(Y/N) pushed Toph back gently, looking down at the girl below. She smiled kindly, leaning down.
"You called."
Before Toph could think, (Y/N)'s lips grazed hers, a soft kiss planted on her lips. She pulled back too quickly, and Toph already missed the contact. She grabbed (Y/N)'s face, bringing her back down and kissing her again.
...
BONUS!!
"Who the hell is that?"
Sokka said, looking to Toph and (Y/N) as they laid cuddled up in her tent. The morning sun peeked behind Sokka and Katara as they looked curiously.
"I have.. no idea."

Hii I am hoping youre still doing requests,
I wanted to ask what bully! miya twins and bully! suna would do, if manager! chubby! reader got asked out by someone else that they don't know (maybe on valentines day ykwim?) Btw if you wrote something similar once or you don't want to its completely alright!! have a good day
their lockers were filled to the brim with letters of confession, baked goods and chocolates. none of them from you. it was valentine's day and as much the trio doesn't see the point of getting presents from others at this particular event. they were looking forward to it. they know their cute, chubby manager have something for them, always had and it wouldn't be valentine's without it and they're planning to surprise. a reward you had done for all the good deeds.
you beat them to the surprise part. imagine they caught you with a scum confessing their undying love for you. bowing they are with a letter in their hands. waiting for you to accept it and they believed you won't accept cause you got the three of them but the smiles in their faces died down as you accept the letter. a genuine smile on your face as you bowed in respect to the guy who confessed to you. the boy was blushing and in the trio's eyes he wasn't exactly handsome but oh, the look in your face it was indescribable. you were really happy and they didn't like it one bit.
âwho got yer smiling like that?â osamu asks you. noticing the small smile in your face while you mop the floor in silence. you raise a brow at him. pursing your lips in a thin line. was is that obvious? ânothing.â you nonchalantly replied. shrugging as you continued the task at your hands. you hear a clatter and when you turned around. you see his older twin holding a familiar envelope. one that you received earlier.
âor maybe the reason is this.â atsumu casually holds the envelope in his hand. âwhere did you get that?â you ask him. abandoning the mop you were holding and it clatters as it falls. âdon't know, yer shouldn't leave your things unattended.â he commented. âgive it to me, atsumu.â reaching out your hand to him but he ignores. âlet me think.â he hums. âmaybe no, get it if you want.â then you leave yourself no choice. âquit it, atsumu. it's not yours. it's mine.â trying to reach the envelope as he raises his hand higher and you were jumping.
the trio took pleasure of seeing yourself struggle. your body bounces up and down as your arms and stomach jiggles from jumping. osamu wraps his arms around you. your back against his chest. âstop struggling. yer can get it after you done us a favor.â he suggested. âyer know what it is.â he whispers and you glare at him with your eyes beading with tears. stopping, it made atsumu lower his guard and that's when you grab the collar of his shirt before pressing a chaste kiss to his lips and then you grabbed the letter in his hands then you ran in the locker rooms. putting the letter in your bag and shoving it to kita's locker. the trio wouldn't dare to touch kita-san's locker.
âthat's foul but you kept your word.â osamu commented. the two following behind him. suna's bored and he was gradually itching to get down to business. âi know.â you sighed in defeat.
âgood. now do yer work.â you nodded and you ended up doing what you were avoiding to do with trio today.
suna eventually found the boy who confessed to you. it won't look like he's going to smile for weeks after sending the video of his crush being ravaged by the three members of the volleyball team and being fucked in all of her holes.

Wing Man Part 8
Fic Summary: Steve 'the Hair' Harrington is your best friend, and is constantly striking out. Sick of this, you two make a deal; you'll wing man for each other. Hooking Steve up with dates is easy, but he finds himself struggling to find you a date. At least, until Dustin starts talking about his new cool friend Eddie.
(1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9)
Chapter Summary: Eddie explains himself, and you two make plans to hang out on purpose.
5.7k Words
a/n: Sorry I haven't been updating! I swear, I'm almost always thinking about this fic but I've been trying to figure out where to go with it. I'm started to see how I want to shape the story (over 40k words in, go figure). Thank you all so much for your patience!
Also, I've had a lot of people ask me about Paige and have shown interest in what happened between her and Eddie. She is actually from Eddie's prequel novel, Flight of Icarus! I'll still explain bits and pieces during the story, but I highly recommend reading the novel for the full context. I am trying to write this in a way you don't need to read FoI, but it does give extra context to the story.
Anyway, we continue.
Aside from the mixtape playing in the van, it was surprisingly quiet between you and Eddie. Despite his eagerness to show up and take you out, now that you were sitting in his passenger side seat again, he had no idea what to do next. The sound of Iron Maiden was rumbling through the van, crackling through the old speakers.Â
It wasnât often that Eddie was at a loss for words or couldnât come up with something to say. After embracing his role in the Hawkins High ecosystem as the resident loudmouth freak he could always come up with something to say to break the ice or cause a ruckus.Â
But, being loud wasnât exactly a substitution for actual charisma. He could hold the attention of his Hellfire Club during the game, and keep them safe enough from most bullies even. But intimidation was different than... whatever the hell he was supposed to be doing here. Flirting? That seemed right. He knew he should be trying to flatter you or compliment you or do something to show that he had an interest in you.Â
âSo,â you were the one to break the silence between the two of you. âWhat have you been up to for the past two weeks?â
Eddie know what you actually meant was âWhat the fuck, man?â which was a really fair question.Â
âI should have called you sooner.â It was best to go ahead and rip the bandaid off now and get this conversation out of the way. âIâm sorry, I wanted to but I couldnât.â
âWhy not?â you asked, leaning against the passenger side door as you looked at him. Despite your eagerness to get out of Family Video with him, he could see that you werenât going to just let him not explain why he hadnât talked to you. Not that he was going to leave you hanging like that anyway.Â
âMy phone blew up.â Eddie said bluntly.Â
âYour phone blew up? Like... actually exploded?â you asked, trying to see if he was fucking with you.Â
âRemember that huge storm a few weeks ago? Turns out that old trailers donât exactly have the best wiring sometimes so when lightning strikes it knocks out power for a few days and fries some important wires.â he explained. âSo... yeah, we just got a new phone today and when I tried to call...â
âSo, I didnât answer my phone so you decided to track me down?â There was amusement in your voice which he took as a good sign. âSeems like you could have done that part earlier. Iâm not hard to find.âÂ
âIâm not exactly interested in stalking.â Eddie snorted. âIâm already on enough people's shitlist in town.â
âOh, youâre no fun.â you laughed. âYou know where I live, you could have shown up at my doorstep in the rain or used random phones around town to leave weird messages about how you canât stop thinking about me or sent me letters with cryptic meanings.â
âWhere do you come up with these things?â Eddie laughed, feeling the tension between the two of you start to dissipate.Â
âI read a lot of bodice-ripper books.â you shrugged. âTrashy romance novels are a guilty pleasure sometimes.âÂ
âHas anyone ever told you that youâre a weirdo?âÂ
âSteve did about an hour ago when I suggested that Bozo the clown could be the shit out of Pennywise from It.âÂ
Eddie wasnât sure what he expected you to say, but it wasnât that. Every time you had shown up in his life, you had completely thrown him off. He was starting to suspect that no amount of âMunson Magicâ was going to work on you. Not that he wanted to work his dadâs charm on you to begin with.Â
What he really wanted to do at that moment was ask you about your little bet with Steve. No, wait, not a bet. A deal? Maybe he should have asked Dustin more questions, or at least waited until after Hellfire to talk to the kid-Â
âSo whatâs the plan?â You broke through his thoughts once again. âYou show up out of nowhere and have me get into your unmarked van to take me to a second location... is there a second location in mind?â
There wasnât, Eddie really hadnât thought that far ahead.Heâd panicked after his talk with Wayne and had shown up to Family Video on the chance that youâd been there. Heâd run straight out the door with every intention of finding you and let you know that he was stupid for not trying harder to call you before.Â
âI figured we could just... drive.â He wished he could ignore the sudden parallel between you and Paige. He wished that he could just forget about what happened in â84. Fuck, him and Paige never even had an official date, only hooking up in his van for a few weeks before everything blew up.Â
Wait, was this a date? Crap, that had been the plan right? Show up, ask you on a date and then... then heâd be on a date. What the FUCK was he actually doing? He was acting so fucking awkward now- everything had been easier before. Why did Dustin have to open his big mouth about this?
âJust driving sounds great.â you said, and Eddie once again tried to relax. Every girl he had been with had wanted something from him. Nicole Summers and Cass Finnigan just wanted bragging rights that they got with the freak, and Paige had wanted him to be a rock hero. What did you want from him?
âHave you eaten?â It wasnât exactly late, but it wasnât really early in the evening either. His uncle always asked him that whenever one of them got home, and it had taken Eddie an embarrassingly long time to realize that it was Wayneâs way of showing that he cared.Â
âI could eat.â you replied, which at least gave this... whatever this was, some structure for the night. Eddie didnât have a lot of cash on him, but he could probably scrape together enough to get you each a burger or something.Â
When the Iron Maiden tape clicked off and spat itself out, you took it upon yourself to pull it out and look it over. âGot any other tapes in here? I need to judge your music taste.âÂ
That made Eddie laugh âYou and every other person in this town. I have a few more tapes in here.â He tapped on the center console which you eagerly dug into, flipping through the different cassettes with eagerness.Â
âMetal. Metal. Metal. Metal.â You said, going through each cassette one by one. âIâm starting to see a pattern here, Eddie.âÂ
âWhat gave it away?â He said deadpan. âWas it that I play guitar or the fact that weâve only bonded over music so far?â
âAnd Chris Morrison.â
âAnd Chris Morrison.â
âIt was your hair, actually. You look so much like Eddie Van Halen itâs actually uncanny.â You looked up from the tapes and he could feel your eyes studying his face. He was glad that it was dark out now, as he could feel warmth rising in his cheeks at the comparison. Was that a compliment? Were you into him looking like Van Halen?Â
âVan Halen?â Eddie asked. âI figured I was more of a Kirk Hammett type.â
âThe hair yes,â you agreed, still staring at his face as he continued to drive. âBut your smile is definitely more Van Halen.â
When was the last time someone had ever looked at him with that much consideration before? Something in Eddieâs gut twisted as he glanced over at you for a split second to meet your eyes. Huh, that was weird. Had anyone made him nervous like this before? Yeah heâd been attracted to Paige but this was starting to feel different.Â
He really needed a cigarette right about now.Â
âI hope thatâs a compliment.â Eddie managed to say as he fumbled for the packet of Camels in the cupholder by him.Â
âOh, it is. I promise.â you replied, digging out a lighter and helping him light the smoke in his mouth. The world's tiniest supernova...
Eddie hated that the closest thing he had to compare notes on when it came to a healthy romance was two months with Paige and a handful of movies that he barely watched.Â
You went back to his tapes, and seemed to pick one out. You removed the tape that had been spat out, put it back in the appropriate case (which Eddie found himself appreciating), and he was surprised to hear the old riffs of Muddy Waters playing.Â
âA palate cleanser.â you said, leaning back into the passenger side seat.Â
Eddie felt his mind reeling from your choice of music. Muddy Waters had been how his mom introduced him to rock at a young age. The two of you sat in silence for a few minutes, listening to the well loved tape as he pulled into the drive in of the next fast food joint heâd seen.Â
When he pulled up to the window to pay, a fresh ten was shoved in his face before he could even reach for his own wallet. It took a moment for him to realize that you were wanting to pay.Â
âYou got me out of work early, itâs the least I can do.â you said, not giving him the option to say no as cash was exchanged for a bag of questionable but cheap food. You held the bag in your lap as Eddie started making his way out of town.Â
âSo is this an âeating vanâ or a ânon-eating vanâ?â you asked, messing with the top of the bag.Â
âI think Iâd starve if I didnât eat in here.â Eddie snorted. âKnock yourself out.â
You wasted no time digging into the fries and taking a few for yourself as Eddie went to the only place that he could afford to take you right now that might be date worthy.Â
Luckily, Loverâs Lake was quiet and private on weeknights. If Eddie had taken two minutes to plan this better, he would have thought to maybe clear out the back of his van and set out a blanket and have a picnic. When it came to music and D&D he was great at planning out details, with dates? Not so much.Â
This isnât a date. He reminded himself for the hundredth time tonight. Sheâs just a girl that you ran over to spend time with the second it occurred to you that she might have an interest in you and she really willingly hopped in your van and your friends actually like her-
Shit. This had to be a date right? Neither of you had said the word but thatâs what it was... right?Â
Eddie was snapped out of his thoughts with the sweet smell of hot potatoes and grease was wafting under his nose. You had shoved a few fries in front of his face and Eddie wasted no time in taking them. You continued to absently feed him fries as he found a spot to park.
The two of you divided up the food on his dashboard, and Eddie rolled down the windows to let the cool autumn air in.Â
âSo... what are you gonna be for Halloween?â Eddie asked, wincing internally. When was the last time anyone he knew had dressed up for Hallowen? Okay, so Hellfire Club did tend to dress up on Halloween for a special one shot but that was different- no one came to school in costumes anymore.
âIt depends on my plans.â you answered. âHalloween is on a Thursday so Iâm usually working. If I have a morning shift Iâll probably do zombie makeup for work, if Steve and Robin are working with me that day I think weâre gonna attempt to be Luke, Leia, and Hans.âÂ
âAnd are you gonna be Leia?â Eddie asked.Â
âIdeally, I wanted to be Chewie but I donât have the time for that.â you laughed. âRobin and I voted on Steve to Be Leia. Robin will be Luke, and Iâll be Hans Solo with a teddy bear.â
âPlease tell me that Harrington isnât going to be in the bikini.â Eddie laughed.Â
âKeith said costumes had to be work appropriate so, sadly, Steve will not be gracing the store with his sweater-vest chest hair under a bra.â You sighed dramatically. âItâs like he hates the idea of us having fun!âÂ
âWhat if you have to close?â Eddie prompted, adjusting in his seat to lean against the door to face you as best he could. Next time he was absolutely clearing out the back to give you both more room.Â
âOh, I am not closing.â you said firmly. âAnd if Keith thinks he can schedule me that day he can suck it because I have plans.âÂ
You already have Halloween plans. Of course you would. Itâs not like you had to worry about school on a weekday like he did. Eddie tried not to deflate in front of you and remained calm.Â
âAnd what plans would that be?â he asked.Â
âHave you ever seen The Rocky Horror Picture Show?â you asked, a smile tugging at your lips.Â
He had, once, with Reefer Rick a few months ago when picking up his usual supply. A quick pick up had turned into a game of pool, which had turned into the two of them high on Rickâs couch watching an old VHS tape while Rick laughed his ass off and yelled at the tv before passing out in the middle of Tim Curry seducing Brad and Janet.Â
âOnce.â Eddie said, not giving the exact details of circumstance. âWith a friend, I didnât really get it.âÂ
âDid you see it in theaters or did you just watch it at home?â you asked, finishing off your food.Â
âFriendâs house.âÂ
âOh, no wonder you didnât get it. Rocky Horror is an experience, you canât just pop the tape in and watch it. You have to come see it in a theater.â As you spoke you were absently folding a napkin in your lap turning it into what looked like a heart. When you were done with that one, you started with another shape with a different napkin.Â
âIs that an invitation?â Eddie asked, tearing his eyes away from the way your fingers moved for now. He found his heart pounding in his chest, unsure if you were actually wanting him to come to this, and from the knot forming in his stomach as the shapes you were folding reminded him of the times he met you before.Â
âIt is.â you confirmed, the ninja star you had shaped with the napkin was placed on the center console as you grabbed another napkin. â...It could also be a date.âÂ
Despite the period at the end of the sentence, Eddie heard the slight waiver in your voice on the word date. It was that same nervous stammer that had been in Paigeâs voice when she offered to let him move in with her in California, it was the same hesitant inflection that one of his Hellfire players used when they werenât sure if Eddie would approve of what crazy plan they had for their character.Â
Aside from that first awkward meeting at the Palace Arcade, you had been pretty confident and upfront with him. Now here you are, laying out your intentions and seeing what he would do.Â
What would he do? Eddie had shown up at Family Video with no real plan. He only knew he wanted to see you again, and he knew that Dustin and Steve were trying to set you two up. And itâs not like Eddie was completely against the idea of going on a date with you. You were sharp, and you kept him on his toes, and when you smiled at him it felt like his brain might short out.Â
But he had also panicked when he had thought that you were going to kiss him before. After Eddieâs disastrous break up with Paige two years ago, itâs not like heâd been completely against any physical relationships. There had been a grand total of two other hook ups that heâd sabotaged. People werenât interested in getting to know the freak, they just wanted to say that they had been with him. So both times, Eddie had made sure that heâd been a lousy date and a decent enough lay before deciding that heâd rather had a date with his right hand and a Heavy Metal magazine.
Eddie would rather the rumor mill call him a boring date rather than set a standard that heâd go out with anyone who asked. He wondered if he had, would Steve have put his name on the town marquis for the world to see? Would Eddie âthe Slutâ Munson be treated any differently than Eddie âthe Freakâ?
Shit, you were still waiting for a response.Â
âA date.â Eddie finally managed to echo your last words back at you. The napkin you had been messing with in your hands was now taking the shape of a ninja star.Â
âI mean, if youâre interested.â you said quickly. âIt could just be a friend thing. Or you probably already have plans for Halloween-â
âI donât.â Eddie interjected. âIt could be a date.â
He watched your shoulders relax and you smiled up at him. âItâs a date then.â You grabbed a napkin and your green marker out of your bag and scribbled something down, handing it over to him.Â
âIn case your phone blows up again, here is the date and time and location for the Halloween showing of the movie.â your eyes narrowed slightly at him. âAnd my work schedule has been hectic but I consistently work on Sundayâs and clock out at four.â
Eddie got the message loud and clear, he would know where to find you now. There wouldnât be any excuses for not reaching out, but two could play at this game. He took the marker from your hand and grabbed his own napkin, scribbling his own phone number down and handing it over to you.Â
âIâm at school all week, but I still play at the Hideout on Tuesdays.â He answered back. âFriday is Hellfire.â
With that, the playing field felt a little more level. Both of you now had the power to track the other one down or call when needed.  Â
âSo what are you going to be for Halloween?â you asked, tucking the napkin with his number into your bog.Â
âOh, havenât you heard? When youâre the town freak every day is Halloween.â Eddie chuckled.Â
âSo what, youâre gonna put on a polo and khakis instead?â He liked the way you scrunch your nose when you laughed. âDitch the jewelry and cover your tattoos?âÂ
âThat would probably scare some of the teachers at school.â Eddie had considered doing exactly that, but he really didnât think heâd want that kind of attention. âNo one dresses up at school anymore.â
âBoring.â You sighed. âI tried dressing up for Halloween my senior year but when I got to school my friends convinced me to change clothes.â
Eddie raised an eyebrow. âYou donât seem like the type to let other people tell you what to do.âÂ
âNow Iâm not.â you shrugged. âIâm not in high school anymore, and all those people that I saw everyday? Turns out I was only friends with them because I saw them every day. Once you get away from that forced routine you realize that itâs all bullshit.â
Eddie could relate, probably better than anyone else. He was so sick of the day to day hierarchy of highschool that heâd scream it from on top of a table. Literally.Â
âWhat were you trying to be before your friends killed your fun?â Eddie asked.Â
âA pirate. It was last minute but I had a bandana, an eyepatch, a sock puppet with feathers glued to it for my parrot, and a wire hanger I was carrying around as a hook.â you laughed at the memory. âI ended up dropping the eyepatch before my friends made me change because I kept running into people. My wire hanger was confiscated, some asshat stole my parrot, and one of my friends gave me a sweater to change into. I didnât even make it to first period in that outfit.â
Eddie had made it a point to not pay attention to anyone outside of his small group at school, only ever keeping an eye out for lost sheep that didnât have anywhere else to go. He wondered, if he had seen you that morning in the brief window before you were pushed back into conformity would he have noticed you? Talked to you? You had already been nice to him before.Â
âWait,â Eddie over at you, taking in the picture you had painted for him. âYou made a sock puppet parrot?â
âI needed a parrot, or else no one would get it!â you explained. âBut then when I took it off and left it to go use the bathroom it was gone. I finally found the thief in fourth period because they kept playing with it and squawking my own parrot at me. But by that point I had just cut my losses and had given up on Halloween.â
âAre you usually this crafty?â Eddie asked, once again looking at the final napkin you were folding into what looked like an old cootie catcher.Â
âI get bored easily.â you said. âIf I donât have something to do with my hands I canât focus.â
âHowâd you start with the whole-â Eddie grabbed one of his slightly used napkins and gave it a wave. âFolding thing?â
âFourth grade show and tell.â you said. âI did not prepare anything and so I spent a full ten minutes in the school library to find something to show. I found a book on origami, found the easiest thing to make and realized that I actually enjoyed it.â
If that was a mystery, it sure did get solved right there. Eddie wanted to ask about Steve and Dustin. He wanted to ask you why him? He could keep his mouth shut, let this whole thing play out and see what happened. Eddie could sit here, and enjoy the fact that a girl was giving him the time of day and leave everything up in the air just like he had with Paige.Â
âSo I heard you and Steve had a deal going on.â Eddie said. âSomething about getting dates?â
You froze for a second, the completed cootie catcher in your hands. Things were dead silent for a grand total of ten seconds. Ten agonizingly long seconds. Even the cassette player had clicked off and was now whirring as it rewind the Iron Maiden tape.Â
Then you started laughing. A lot.Â
âJesus, Eddie!â you said, wiping your eyes with the ninja star as a tear threatened to spill down your cheek. âI tell you I have origami as a hobby, and you follow up with âSo I heard you and Steve are trying to get dates.â Seriously?â
Eddie remained silent at your reaction, trying to process your laughter. You didnât seem scared or nervous that he had called you out, and he had to admit that he hadnât completely thought through the consequences of asking you that question.Â
âWho blabbed?â You asked, after your laughter had calmed down.Â
âHenderson.â Eddie admitted and, in an attempt to ease any lingering tension he leaned forward to rest his elbow on the center console and held his chin in his hand as he looked at you. âThat shrimp informed me that you found me so irresistible that you begged Steve to set you up with me.â
âIs that right?â You asked, raising an eyebrow.Â
âOh yeah,â Eddie agreed. âTold me all about how ever since Chris Morrison shot you down, youâve been desperate to get my attention to get back at him.â
âSo which is it, am I attracted to you or am I using you to get back at a guy I talked to once in high school years ago?â you asked. Eddie saw a glint in your eyes, the same one heâd seen that first night at the arcade when at the air hockey table.Â
âBoth are true.â Eddie continued to explain, a shit eating grin on his face. âYou see, you were originally going to use me to get back at Chris, but then you saw me play guitar and instantly fell in love.â
âDamn, this sounds like the plot of a terrible movie.â you laughed. âSo is this the part where I tell you that âIt started out like that, but I swear itâs not like that anymore!â? Do I beg on my knees that my feelings for you are genuine, even though weâve hung out a grand total of two-and-a-half times?â
Five times, but whoâs counting?Â
âWhatâs the half-time?â Eddie asked.Â
âYou ditched me at the arcade after I said Iâd be right back.â you stated matter-of-factly. âIâm hoping itâs not a pattern where you start dropping off the face of the earth just when things start getting good.â
âBetween you and me,â Eddie leaned in closer. âI thought Dustin was trying to set me up with Steve. Not you.âÂ
Cue more laughter from you as you threw your head back. âAre you kidding me?! Dustin makes me and Steve show up to an arcade and tries to force a meeting with you- and you thought you were supposed to be dating Steve?!âÂ
âNot dating!â Eddie clarified quickly. âYou see, Steve and I only have one thing in common and thatâs Dustin Henderson. Kid practically worships Steve. I thought he was trying to get us to be friends or something.â
âOh my god, you thought Dustin was trying to hook his two dads up!â Your cootie catcher was now crumpled up in your hands, stained with tears from your laughing. âIâm a homewrecker!âÂ
Yeah, this really wasnât going the way Eddie had expected it.Â
âShit, Eddie, Iâm sorry.â you said, your laughter calming down into giggles instead. âHave I been reading this whole thing wrong? I mean, if you have more of an interest in Steve I could probably set that up. Heâs only ever shown interest in girls but you have long hair and are pretty enough-â
âNo.â Eddie said. âI donât have an interest in Steve- you think Iâm pretty?â How were you able to throw him off so easily? He could tell that if you had been able to join Hellfire you would have been a menace at his table.
âExtremely.â you said, your voice more sincere now.Â
The two of you just stared at each other for a while and Eddie felt that same twisty feeling in his gut again. You thought he was pretty. That was good, right? Did you like pretty boys? You were pretty- he liked that a lot.Â
âI...â Eddie started and then dug deep inside himself to find the words he wanted to use. âPrettier than Steve?â Those were not the words he wanted to say, but he said them anyway.Â
âSteve is conventionally attractive but, as I said before, not my type.â you said. âI like guys with long hair anyway.â
Eddie really couldnât tell if he was nailing this or blowing it. âSo, what is your type?âÂ
âIâll tell you mind if you tell me yours.â you countered.Â
Had Eddie ever really thought about what his type was? Yeah, heâd had ill-advised crushes and had been attracted to various women in comics and tv but did he have a type? He tried to connect all the girls in his mind that heâd been with, trying to find a pattern.Â
Someone who actually pays attention to me. Thatâs pretty sad, Eddie. He came to the conclusion. Yeah, aside from his disastrous kiss with Ronnie five years ago, every girl heâd been with had been the one to show interest first, and you were no exception. But had he actually had feelings for the others? Not really. Attraction? Yeah. Feelings? Well, with Paige he had been far too busy dealing with Corroded Coffin, his dad, and school to really decide what he felt for Paige. Any other small flings had been dead on arrival.
So why did he keep wanting to spend time with you?
âDonât go spreading this around,â Eddie started. âBut if I had to pick a type, itâd be She-Hulk.âÂ
âShe-Hulk?â you mulled that over in your mind. âSo tall, green, and angry?âÂ
âStrong-willed, and funny as shit.â Eddie corrected.Â
âAnd green.â
âAnd green.âÂ
âIf I had known that earlier I would have picked Kermit the Frog as my Halloween costume this year.â you teased. âI donât have a character off the top of my head, but I like people who feel.. Real.â
Real. The word that Paige and him had used over and over in those two months.Â
âWhatâs real to you?âÂ
âNot high school.â you said. âSomeone whoâs not afraid to exist and be themselves. Iâm most attracted to anyone who can let go of their desperate ego and just have fun. High school was boring because everyone was so wrapped up in their own bs of looking cool that they didnât do anything that they actually wanted to do. Shit, even I fell into that.â
Eddie didnât want to ask if he was real to you. He wasnât sure if he was ready for an answer. There were lots of times he wished that he wasnât still in school, but this time really hit harder. He was starting to really like you, and yeah part of him was terrified of that.Â
The two of you finished off the last of your food and Eddie shoved all the leftover trash into the brown bag and tossed it in the back so you wouldnât be stepping on it.Â
âI donât know much about real anymore, but I think youâre pretty badass.â Eddie finally said. âI mean, you brought a wire hanger and a fake parrot to school for a costume. Thatâs pretty brave, even if your friends did talk you out of it.â
âIâm more mad that the parrot was stolen and used to annoy me than the lack of costume.â you said with a small laugh. âThey werenât even funny. They just kept repeating what I said. It was easier to just shut up at that point.âÂ
âDidnât think to make them say anything embarrassing?âÂ
âOh, I tried. But, jocks donât know the art of a good âDuck Season, Rabbit Seasonâ gag. Anything embarrassing I said theyâd just turn it around. Iâd say âI pissed myself in gym.â theyâd reply with âyou pissed yourself in gymâ. No love for comedy.â You took a deep breath and let out a long sigh. âIf youâre going to be a bully, at least give me a good story to tell later, you know?â
âI once got slammed against a locker by a jock who called me âa myriad freak.â Eddie said. âTo this day, I still donât know what he was trying to mean by that.â
âSee? At least thatâs funny.â you said, and then. âHoly shit, weâve gotten off topic.âÂ
âThere was a topic?â Eddie leaned back on the seat again.Â
âYes, an important one that I was very interested in before we started talking about bullies and high school and She-Hulk.â you nodded.Â
Talking to you was so easy that he hadnât realized how many topics the two of you had blown through in a short amount of time. He looked at his watch real quick and realized it was creeping towards 11 pm now. Had the two of you really been talking that long?
âWhat topic was it?âÂ
âYou flirting with me.â you said, your lips pulling back in a cheshire grin. âIâm pretty sure you were at least, before I became a homewrecker between you and Steve. Normally Iâd hate to break up a happy family, but I might have to make an exception this one time.â
âWas I flirting?â Eddie tilted his head with his own grin. âIâm pretty sure I was just telling you that I thought Dustin was trying to make me be friends with Steve. If I had known that the shrimp was trying to introduce me to a cute girl-â He would have shot it down and canceled Side Quest Day- âI wouldnât have left the way I did.â
âYou think Iâm cute?âÂ
âExtremely.âÂ
You nodded. âAlright, then itâs a good thing that weâre going on a date. Iâm glad to know that Iâm not coming between you and Steve.â
It was just past midnight when Eddie dropped you off at your apartment that night. This time when you leaned over the center console towards him, he didnât freeze up or panic. Eddie let you hug him and he hugged you back, his cheeks growing hot momentarily when he felt your lips press against his cheek and he was able to breathe in your scent.Â
âSee you later, Eddie. Oh, and for the movie- I highly recommend dressing up.â you looked him up and down. âActually, just wear what youâd normally wear. I think youâll fit right in.âÂ
Eddie made a mental note to ask Rick later on what he was supposed to wear for this.Â
âIâll call you.â he said. âI promise. I mean it this time.â
âNot if I call you first, I have your number now. And worst case scenario, I know where you play.â you responded. âSee you Tuesday, Eddie.âÂ
And with that you were gone again, leaving Eddie alone in the van feeling much better than the last time he had given you a ride. There were still questions he had. He still wanted to know why exactly everyone was wanting the two of them to meet again, and why you always so readily agreed to meet up with him. But those were questions for another day.Â
âYou had a missed call.â Wayne said as Eddie made his way into the trailer. âDidnât leave a name or number. Said sheâd call you back.â Â
Eddie laughed and shook his head, guess you meant it when you said youâd call first.Â
âDonât stay up too late watching tv.â Eddie said before heading towards his bedroom. He once again found himself falling asleep with his copy of The Hobbit, the origami flower tucked safely in the back.Â

Ending note: This fic takes place during October 1985. Stephen Kingâs It did not come out until September 1986. I would like to ask you all politely to suspend your disbelief for the historical inaccuracy of a piece of dialogue that probably didnât add much to the plot. If this horrible inaccuracy bothers you, please repeat to yourself âitâs just a fic, I should really just relaxâ which is what most of us should be doing anyway.

Note
Pilot, I know you primarily bully Jaune. But would you mind having a go at Papa Arc talking to the Vacuo mural?
Orion Arc is not a hero, even though his son always thought he was. Heâs just a man who loves his family and tries his best to do right by them.
So itâs more than a little strange standing there, in front of a mural of his own sonâs face. His boy immortalized and honored in ways Orion could never dream of.
His son looks like a stranger.
âMr. Branwen thought it might help to talk to ya.â Orionâs hand brushes over the palm prints of countless children, all paying their respect to his boy. âDonât see much point, ainât gonna bring you back.â
His son watches him, all quiet confidence and bravery. A true warrior, a hero. Where is his brash anxious son who begged to join the Huntsman Academies? How much of his son did he lose when Jaune finally left home? Somewhere along the way his boy grew into a man and he wasnât there to help him.
âYour uhâŚâ He clears his throat. âYour mother misses you.â And it sounds pathetic even as he says it. Even in front of a facsimile of his son he canât say what he needs to.
âShe was beside herself when you didnât come back from Haven.â So was he, even more so than his wife. Orion paced the house for days, worry driving him to throw himself into work, into anything that would take his mind off the attack and the fate of his boy. âWe were so relieved to hear from Saph about you and your friends.â
His friends. A group of seven that from all accounts Jaune grew closer to than even his sisters. Orion glances up at the others in the mural. Four of which fell alongside his boy, and the other three were left grieving.
Ren, Nora, and Oscar, he remembers them being called. He never thought heâd see his grief echoed in faces so young.
âAs soon as we saw the broadcast, your mother was packinâ our bags.â Orion chuckles. âYou shoulda seen her, she was fixinâ to march up to the General herself and teach him a lesson. If I ever wondered where you got your fire, I got my answer.â
His face falls, crumpling like paper. âAnd I triedta douse that fire.â How many times did he tell Jaune it was okay if he failed? How many times did he refuse to train him? How many times did he let his fear guide him to crush his sonâs dreams?
âWhen you walked into the livinâ room with your transcripts in hand sayinâ you were gonna be a Huntsman whether I wanted it or not, whyâŚâ His eyes are stinging. If thereâs anything his son inherited from him, itâs his tendency for emotions to live near the surface. âWhy that was the proudest day of my life.â
Heâd never been more proud. Never. His boy standing there with those papers clutched in his fist, and a defiant look on his face. âI wonât let you down.â Jaune had said.
You could never let me down. Itâs what he shouldâve said. Why didnât he just say it?
Orion scrubs the heel of his hand into his eyes. It does nothing to stop the flow of tears. âDid I ever once tell ya how proud I am of you?â His voice is cracking and hitching, but if he stops talking now Orion knows heâll never start again.
âYouâre so brave and you donât quit when things get tough. I saw how hurt you were after the Fall of Beacon, but you just got right back on that horse.â His baby boy, the most caring and most stubborn of all his children. Strapping the family sword back onto his hip because âSomebody has to, dad.â
Letters where itâs clear his boy isnât saying half the trouble, but heâs saying enough that they know what trouble is. Hearing about the attack on Haven, a week and a half of terror. Saphron sending word that Jaune made it to Argus.
And then nothing. Nothing until the broadcast from Miss Rose.
Packing in a whirlwind, sending the girls to stay with Saphron. Renting the first available airship to Vacuo and contending with his wifeâs motion sickness. By the time they got there, they were met halfway by a near armada.
But no Jaune.
Orionâs hand rests on Jauneâs painted cheek. A childâs hand against the larger-than-life hero his boy grew into when he wasnât there.
Did he ever tell his son how much he loves him?
âCome back to us,â Orion begs, no longer trying to stem the flow of tears. Why bother? His son isnât here to see them.

Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3 / Part 4 in progress
Few months had passed since the first day of Hogwarts. Things with your family were getting worse each day. You received letters from them on a daily basis, all of them saying how much of a disappointment and waste of time you were. You felt as if you were a piece of trash. Your mother made sure of it.
You became lonely, quite literally. You were studying during the day, and sleeping or just thinking at nights. Sometimes you would even sneak out in the Astronomy Tower late at nights, just to be alone.
Hermione, Harry and Ron became concerned, but you were shrugging them off and keeping your distance. Harry, being the Sherlock Holmes he was, became suspicious and tried everything to get you to say something, but you were mastered in hiding and keeping secrets.
Little did you know that a certain platinum blond haired boy was growing suspicious as well.
One day, you were sitting in the library, pretending to read, but all you could think of, was a letter your mother has sent you earlier that day, which was laying innocently on the table in front of you. Shame, disgrace, disappointment, waste of time. You were sick and tired of those words, you just wanted to get rid of them, but they kept wandering inside your head, never leaving.
You heard footsteps approaching you, pulling you out of your train of thoughts. You looked up to be met with Malfoy, Goyle and Zabini. Again, something was wrong with the Slytherin Prince. He was quiet, it seemed like he wasnât the one who was leading the latter two.
Goyle walked forward and leaned on the table with his elbows. He looked at the letter and took it in his hands. He opened his mouth to say something, but you interrupted by standing up and snatching the letter out of his hands harshly.
âIf youâre going to tell me how much of a shame and disgrace I am, donât waste your time. Believe me, you donât have to. I have already been told that more than enough times.â You said without thinking and immediately regretted it. Your voice was quiet, but firm. You turned around and walked out of the library.
The three boys looked at each other with the same expression that said âwhat the hell did just happenâ. Neither understood what happened. This only caused one of them to grow even more suspicious.
Christmas was approaching. Everyone was happy, happy to spend time with their families, happy to spend time with their loved ones. Everyone except you. You didnât want to go home, no, not home, your parentsâ manor. You wanted to stay at Hogwarts, but you would get into a huge trouble, and getting in trouble with your parents wasnât very⌠pleasant.
You were sitting in the Great Hall, at the Gryffindor house table, when Harry approached you, a little hesitantly.
âHey,â he started softly, âAre you sure youâre fine?â
You were fighting the urge to roll your eyes, âYes Harry, I am fine, really. Donât worry.â You gave him the fakest smile ever, and he bought it.
But Malfoy didnât⌠he was watching from afar.
The letters your parents sent you every day and night were very shitty. Thatâs how you ended up in Moaning Myrtleâs lavatory, sobbing your eyeballs out. You were leaning against the sink, looking in the mirror and sobbing uncontrollably while Myrtle told you that everything would be fine.
âNo Myrtle, nothing will be fine. Ever.â You said in the middle of sobs.
âTalk to your parents then.â Myrtle said in her dreamy, high-pitched voice.
You laughed bitterly at her statement, your voice coming out loud and harsh, a maniacal sound that would make a person wince. âTalk to my parents? Oh, but they are the very reason why I am sobbing the shit out of myself right now Myrtle. Do you know how they treat me? Can you even imagine the pain they put me through? Let me guess. No! You donât! You canât! Has your father ever beat you until you were bleeding?! Has your mother ever used Cruciatus curse on you?! And thatâs because of this whole pureblood supremacy shit! Because of the house you are put in! I am tired Myrtle, tired of standing strong for 16 goddamn years! I deserve some break.â You said, rising your voice every time you would swear.
It was crystal clear that Myrtle was shocked, âTalk to your friends, or your headmaster then. That is abuse, it needs to stop.â
âI canât! If I say a word about this, they will most definitely kill me. I donât give two shits if I die, no. I just donât want to be killed by them! And about friends, I do not have any. And do you know why? Because I canât have any! I donât want to put any of my friends in danger or be put in danger because of them!â You looked in the mirror, then lowered your head once again and started crying.
After few minutes of brutal silence and your quiet sobs, you looked up and wiped away your tears with the palms of your hands.
âYou know what,â you started, looking at Myrtle, âdo you know how high the Astronomy Tower is?â
Myrtle looked really confused now, âWhy?â
âOh, just wanted to go up there, gaze at the sky, but I have a terrible fear of highs, you seeâŚâ
It was a lie, of course, but Myrtle bought it. After all, parents like yours were good at rising flawless liars.
âItâs high, indeed, but I donât think you will be scared. Platform is huge.â
You faked a sad smile and thanked her, âThank you, Iâll see you soon.â You walked out of the bathroom. âOr not.â You mumbled to yourself, thinking nobody heard you. But someone did. This someone being very annoying Draco Lucius Malfoy.
He spied on you the whole time and to make matters even worse, he heard every single word you said. So, obviously, he followed you.
When you reached the Astronomy Tower, you headed straight towards the edge and looked out.
âOh my god, what am I doing?!â You asked yourself out loud.
You slightly leaned forward, when two strong arms cuffed your wrists and turned you around. A soft gasp escaped from your mouth at this sudden action. However, you were shocked when you saw who did this.
Draco Fucking Malfoy
âWhat the hell?! Were you actually planning to jump out of there?!â He asked. But what confused you more was the anger latched on his face.
âWhy do you care?â You asked in a quiet tone.
âOh, I donât know. Maybe because you were going to commit suicide!â his voice was firm and stern, but dripping with sarcasm at the same time.
âYeah, but why do you care?! Not that weâre friends or anything. You have been making my life miserable since the day I stepped my foot in the Great Hall for the first time, and now you care all of a sudden?!â You hissed through gritted teeth, your voice coming out venomous, a bit louder this time. You didnât know why, but him being angry at you for attempting to end your life, for attempting to end all this pain and leave this hell forever, made you angry too. He was one of the people who made you hate your life, made you hate yourself, and now he was suddenly scolding you for trying to end it all. You didnât know why, but it made you boil with anger.
What made you even angrier was that he didnât say anything, he just stood there, looking down at the cold floor of the tower, completely silent. Why do you care?! Your voice echoed in his head, sounding louder and louder every second. Why did he care? You were right. He had been making your life a living hell since the day one, he had been the one to approach you for no reason and call you the most insulting, disgusting, and horrible names ever. He had been the one to make fun of you in front of everyone and make you feel insanely insecure. After all the things he did, why did he care? Maybe it was guilt eating him out, maybe he didnât ever realize how much you were hurting, how much you were going through, until very now. But for some reason, he felt bad, he felt defeated, and he hated every second of it.
You were tired, exhausted by stress, crying and all the emotions. You were feeling nauseous. You wanted to drop down and pass out for hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades, centuries. You didnât care, you just wanted to disappear, vanish. You were weak, too weak, but you still stood there, looking at the young man in front of you, who was staring down at his shoes like a child who broke a vase, waiting for him to look up. Under any other circumstances it would be almost cute, but not now. Not when you were about to end your life, not when the boy in front of you was someone who played a big part in your decision.
Silence was brutal. None of you saying a word, waiting for the other to speak up. Waiting for the other to say something, anything. You stood there, glaring at him like a mother glares at her son when she grounds him.
You couldnât take it anymore, so you broke the silence by chuckling. But it was not the funny type of chuckle. No, it was bitter, venomous, painful chuckle. Anyone could hear the pain in your voice, anyone could see the pain in your eyes, pain was the only thing that radiated from you. It always had been.
âThatâs what I thought.â You said and sighed deeply, âListen Malfoy, forget about everything, and I mean everything you heard and witnessed today. And donât you dare say a word about this to anyone.â You said and walked past him and down the stairs, your shoulder brushing against his in a cold manner.
He still didnât move. He didnât know what to do. He knew he couldnât tell anyone, anyway. This was the pureblood family you were talking about. Rules are different there. Finally, he shook himself out of his trance and walked down the steps, trying to be as quiet as possible, since it was already past curfew and the last thing he wanted was Filch catching him.
Slytherin common room was expectedly empty. He was positive he would fall into a deep sleep the moment his head would hit the pillow, but he couldnât go to his dorm just yet. He was still thinking about what happened just few minutes ago. As much as he wanted to forget it, he couldnât. Can you even imagine the pain they put me through? He could never have imagined that you were going through this much. Let me guess. No! You donât! You canât! Yes, he couldnât. Has your father ever beat you until you were bleeding?! And here he thought his father was the most horrible person. Has your mother ever used Cruciatus curse on you?! He could never even think of his mother being that brutal. And thatâs because of this whole pureblood supremacy shit! Because of the house you are put in! I am tired, tired of standing strong for 16 goddamn years! I deserve some break. You were right, you really did deserve some break.
He felt horrible, he felt disgusted by your parents, he felt bad for you. Oh, come on Draco! Why do you feel bad?! She probably deserves that.
His brain said all of that rubbish, but his heart seemed to disagree. It screamed loudly, louder than his brain, You pathetic little idiot! How can you say that?! No live being deserves that, not even a cockroach!
Lost in his thoughts, he didnât realize how he ended up on the emerald green couch in front of a lit fireplace. He dropped his head in his hands, elbows resting on his knees. Taking deep breaths, he began to relax a little. He looked up and stared down at fire, warm and welcoming, yet roaring and dangerous. He didnât know how long he had been sitting there. Maybe for few minutes, maybe even hours. But he didnât care. All he could think of right now was you.
He didnât know why he had a sudden urge to help you, he didnât know why he had the sudden urge to just hold you until your sobs would calm down. He had never felt this way. It confused him. He never cared about you, but for some reason, hearing your cries made his heart shatter into many pieces. Had it been any other person, he would feel sorry for them, he would pity them, but this was definitely not pity. This was⌠he didnât know either. But it felt strange.
Standing up, he took one last deep breath and headed towards his dorm room, where he could finally get his long awaited sleep.

Finally someone who dislikes Hellhammer lol I feel like CRAZY when talking with other people about Mayhem and they all love him so so so much! It's just insane. He has a massive ego and is a shitty person with shitty opinions but somehow he gets a pass. Also sometime ago I read an interview where he was asked if he misses Pelle/Ăystein and if in his opinion there would be a place for them in Mayhem as of now and he said that he does not miss them at all (besides, he laughed at Ăystein's mother at the phone when he learned about his death he just pisses me off so bad ong) but he was also like. No there is no place for them at all because we changed a lot and it was good for Mayhem that they are gone. THE SHEER AUDACITY IS INSANE! Did he forget so casually WHO FOUNDED MAYHEM and gave him a place in there? Who was influential in the early BM scene? Please. Mayhem is not even all this great stuff atp, when Ăystein had hold of the group, it was all... unique in its own way, very atmospheric, he got the gist. Don't even get me started on that hag of Necrobutcher. The only person that speaks kindly of Ăystein is Attila. Also, Mayhem should have ended with Ăystein's death in my opinion. Pure madness
I was never fond of Jan, to be honest.
I can definitely recognize his talent as a drummer. He is, in fact, one of the best of not the best drummer in Black Metal history. But this is the only good thing about him because his personality is very insufferable.
It's not just the overly inflated ego that he displays, but he comes across as a 'bully' somehow. I won't judge him by his interests in drugs and drinking because he wanted to have fun, live the rock and roll life, whatever, but I can't overlook how Ăystein complained about him messing up gigs because he was too intoxicated to play, or how he neglected their rehearsals. He seems very careless, very insensitive, and overall very untrustworthy.
What pissed me the most was the way that (I suspect) he treated Pelle while he was alive. Pelle wasn't shy to call Jan a 'fat, stupid drummer' in one of his letters, expressing how he preferred Faust (if I remember correctly) in the band instead. Now, the impression that this comment gives me is that Jan must've done something to piss Pelle off. Maybe something repeatedly, like unsavory jokes. Because, for me, Pelle's insult seems very sincere and personal. I am very sure that there are things that must've happened (arguments and stuff) that we will never know about, and all we can do is to try to fill the gaps with speculations about what really happened within the band. This is why I feel like Jan has 'bully' traits.
Another important aspect that bothers me to no end is how Jan was, in fact, the last person who saw and talked with Pelle. You can tell from the way he explained the incident he seemed very cold and detached about it. Pelle seemed 'happier' than ever before, telling him about his knife while he knew what Pelle could do shows how disinterested he was in his friend's well-being. And I get it that everybody was young and dumb and no one had the resources to help Pelle, but it's common sense to ask 'Hey, what are you going to do with that knife?'. Even Jørn had more common sense than this man, but I digress.
Another interesting thing about Jan is how Varg talked about him. Him and Fenriz (and Faust) are the only ones who he doesn't consider 'rats'. I get it that Jan was an extreme-right sympathizer, and that drove Varg to talk more nicely about him, but I believe that apart from their common political affinity, their personality are quite similar. It's not just a say that 'dark personalities attract one another', it's actually true. Jan seems to have some empathy issues, in my opinion, and it's very common for people in cluster B to use substances or alcohol to either numb their feelings or to 'feel something'.
I'm not insinuating anything, I'm just laying some interesting facts and observations that I have.
And then, of course, he said the worst thing possible for the sake of publicity. He said that he was in the room while Pelle took his own life, which is an aberration. But he can tell anything to the fans, right? He's alive to 'tell the story', right?
And him laughing in the phone about Ăystein's death is yet another indicator that he might have some real issues with empathy.
I believe him when he says he doesn't miss Pelle or Ăystein because they probably mean too little for him, but he likes talking about his dead bandmates, doesn't he?
I don't like him for these reasons and many more.
It is unfortunate and infuriating how these people talk anything but the truth nowadays and they get to pass with a lot of obvious lies just because they're famous.

The Experiment | Part 2
In case y'all missed it, I asked one of my best friends to watch Stranger Things and here's what she had to say about season 1 and 2 .
Now, here's the updated version of season 3 that she finished so fucking fast and I felt guilty because she told me didn't sleep because she was desperate for answers, my sweet summer child.
This time around she'd update me as she watched the episodes and needless to say I woke up today with way too many messages
She's 100% convinced that Mike is gay because she said and I quote: "What teenage boy takes off the hands of his girlfriend like he did?".She also said that Mike should remember that friendships are important too, she doesn't understand why he's avoiding his friends and focusing too much on El.
She loves Max Mayfield BTW (again, sweet summer child). She 100% agrees that El needs to learn how to be herself without the influence of others.
She said that the biggest problem she has with Mike and El is that El didn't even know what a friend was the first season, how can se be in a relationship? However, she does think that if Mike learns how to listen to her they might work it out but she's not sure they should. "Ok I guess they're not going to work it after all" says her after their break up. Also, she was like: "shouldn't he be more upset about this?
In comes the rain fight scene and I think the conversation deserves to be in a mural somewhere. This is what she said and I apologize for the language and for how she talks about Mike but this deserves to be translated in it's entirety because her rant was epic.
"Why. The. Fuck. Was Mike being such an ass?! He used to be so sweet to Will and now he's treating him like this? Hell nah! Like, I get that he wants to spend time with his girlfriend and that's fine, but that doesn't mean he gets to treat Will like this!
And who the fuck said anything about Will not liking girls? Will didn't! So why the fuck would Mike say this completely unprovoked? Like, this is the kind of shit Will's bullies would say! I don't know who the fuck this Mike is, but it's definitely not the kid from last season.
"Oh se he goes to apologize to Will but doesn't apologize to El?" She asked me after she calmed down from her seething rage. "Inch teresting"
"Oh boy, Billy is gonna die. Am I supposed to want him not to?".
"How the fuck did Soviet Union manage to build this entire lab underground without anyone noticing? And this is I'm thr hight of cold war too, makes no sense but what do I know?"
She absolutely adores Robin, she thinks she and Steve will get together.
"Am I supposed to feel bad for Billy?" Needless to say, she doesn't like Billy.
"What. The. Fuck. Am. I. Watching?" She asked during the people turning into slush scene.
"Oh. So I guess Robin and Steve won't get together after all" lmao I laughed.
"Oh they do want me to feel sorry for Billy, huh"
She had a mental breakdown over Hop's "death". She sent an invoice crying and cursing me for bribing her into watching the show.
She also noticed how unresponsive Mike acted after El told him she loved him and was like: "is this boy ok? Like, I'm sorry Bia (my nickname) but you're telling me he just stood there with his eyes opened while she declared her love and kissed him? Am I watching this right? Answer me dammit!" (She was angry when I refused to tell her anything lmao).
Now, bare in mind that I haven't told her about Byler at all, didn't even tell her I ship it because I wanted her to be as unbiased as possible. She told me she had thoughts/theories and I told them to share them even after she claimed she didn't think she was right.
This bellow are her thoughts and hers alone, translated from Brazilian Portuguese to English.
"I just feel like Hop's letter is telling us something about Mike, maybe? Like, how he's afraid of change, of confronting his feelings, maybe? Like, I know you won't tell me, but I don't think this scene is about El leaving at all, I think it's about Will leaving.
"But I have a theory? I don't know, but the scene parallels the scene from when they find Will's body, right? But he comes home and holds his mom and I think this when he realized he has feelings for Will? Maybe? Or at the very least he realized he isn't straight.
" I didn't think Will was gay until I saw his reaction to what Mike said, and I think Will felt that he was stupid for believing that Mike cared for him at all. He destroyed the castle because he lost his childhood, he lost everything when he wasn't even looking, and I also think he called himself stupid because he thinks it was stupid of him to hope Mike could ever think of Will that way.
"I don't think Mike truly loves El, and he's coming to terms with the reason why he doesn't"
She then begged me for information which I refused to give her, obviously. But this is part 2. Now onto the last season *laughs maniacally *

Wednesday 8:00 AM Great Hall
You sat alone at the end of your house table, hunched over some cereal. It had gone soggy a while ago, so you just picked at it instead of actually eating it; your mind was elsewhere anyway. You looked longingly at your housemates at the front of the table. They all seemed to be happy and content in their lives. They all seemed to have everything they could ever want and everything you could ever wish for. A functional family, friends, family that actually likes them.Â
A loud whooshing sound was heard overhead, and you looked up to see the post being delivered. You paid no mind to it as you never received mail anyways, but this morning was different. A barn owl swooped down into your cereal, splashing it all over you. It dropped a thick letter in front of you, thankfully not in a puddle of mushy cereal and milk. You take the letter and open it to surprisingly find that your parents have written to you.
Y/N I hope there is someone in the castle that will take pity on you. We have moved into a new house. It does not have space for you unless you wish to sleep in the shed, but we have plans for that, so we cannot let you stay there. You are not welcome back this summer, is what we are saying. You already know not to bother coming for the holidays. But about our new house. It is on the coast with a beautiful view of the sea. 5 bedrooms and 3 bathroomsâŚ
You did not bother reading the rest of the letter. You did not care for the details of their lavish new house. You already got the pointâthat you were not welcome to come back. You supposed it did not matter as you were not planning on making it to summer anyways.
It did not really hurt your feelings as you thought over this. You didnât much like them anyway. You longed for a nice, loving family or parental figure at least, but just not them. There was someone you could consider a parental figure. You saw him every day from noon to two in the afternoon. In the dungeons, surrounded by cauldrons and ingredients, and what not. He had black greasy hair down to his shoulders, a hooked nose, and a demeanor that was supposed to deter people away from him.
You weren't, though. You had a talent for potions, which he seemed to like in you. It started when he offered to give you private lessons a year above the year you were in. He figured you were at that level. You took him up on the opportunity. Every Wednesday night from 5 to 7, you were in the potions classroom brewing potions for the next year. It has been the only thing making your life worthwhile.Â
After you got comfortable being in his presence alone, you two got to talking about various things. Anything you could think of to fill the silence. He eventually passively asked why your non-uniform clothes looked so bad. He was never one to sugarcoat. You explained your parents' distaste for you. Conveniently, you found 8 new outfits, a pack of socks, and a pack of underwear on your bed the next day with a small note saying, âIf you ever bring this up, I will burn all of it.â
You thought back on the memory with great fondness. You still had all of the clothes he had gotten you that day. He had been the only person at Hogwarts to ever give you a gift of any kind.
You sat in the Great Hall for a few more moments with your thoughts. Now that you were not welcome to come back home, where would you go exactly? It would be better if you did not exist, and you supposed that was always an option, but what exactly would people think of you if you did that? Well, it wouldnât matter if you were gone.
++++++
Wednesday 11:50 AM Dungeons
The Potions master had told you a secret passage to get to the dungeons quicker. You took it every day, hoping to avoid the various people you could stumble across that you did not like. Such as the one that you were looking at right now.
She made it her life's mission to make your life hell. You werenât entirely sure why, but whatever made her happy, you supposed.
âSaw your letter this morning,â the girl in front of you laughed. âAre your parents finally sending you off for being such a disappointment?â Her friends laughed behind her, almost cackling.
Your shoulder slumped and your eyebrows furrowed; something must be wrong with her, as this one's insults were usually much more painful with this. Before you could question her if she was alright going to make a remark about her boyfriend shagging other girls in the halls again, Professor Snape's voice rang through the halls.
âGood afternoon,â he said coolly. Immediately the girl in front of you straightened up and turned quickly. She was quite terrified of him. He held a strong disliking for her, knowing she was quite awful to you. It grated on her nerves that he did not like her, often taking it out on you since he did like you.
âProfessor Snape,â she said with a high, sickeningly sweet voice, âth- they called me ugly.â She stammered out and attempted to fake a cry. Her hands balled into fists as she screwed her eyes shut, trying to force a tear or two out. Immediately all of her little friends began to back her up, nodding their heads and adding on to her story.
Professor Snape nods his head and stares at her for a moment before catching your eye. He narrows his eyes at you and looks you up and down as if heâs trying to see through you. He then looks back to the girl and asks, âDid you know that when you lie, you ball your hands into fists?â His voice was cold as he stared at her as she realized her hands were indeed balled into fists. Quickly, as if she were a child caught trying to sneak a cookie, she and her friends scrambled off down the hall and up the dungeon stairs.
Snape sighed and looked back at you with an overly dramatic, disappointed look, shaking his head dramatically and sighing. âCalling other students ugly. Detention [y/l/n]. My class today. Starting at 5,â he gave you a small grin before quickly dropping it, not wanting anyone else to see it. Before he begins his walk back to his class, expecting you to follow.
You grin back before following right beside him, âWhat are we brewing today?â
He delves into the details of what you will be brewing as you arrive at his classroom. You already know how to brew it, having learned last year. No one else is there yet, as you are early, and most try to come to his class as late as they can without penalty. You dump your stuff at your seat, which is surprisingly at the back of the class, out of his sight for the most part. He had requested you sit back there as, âI trust you wonât blow something up; others I canât say the same for.â So you sat at the back of the classroom so he could keep an easier eye on other students.
âMy parents have moved into a new house,â you tell him as you lean against one of the tables that is closer to his desk.Â
He hums in acknowledgement, nodding his head slightly to show he is not ignoring you, âbut apparently they do not have room for me in said house. So I guess over the summer Iâm staying at Diagon Alley or something.â
His head shoots up, eyes glaring at you. âThat is not something to joke about.â
âIâm not joking,â you grab the letter that you had stuffed in your robes and hand it to him. He suspiciously takes it and reads over the first part of it; you assume he made it about as far as you did before he put the letter down, staring at you dumbfounded. A glint of anger was in his eyes, but he was doing well to hide it. âWell, you could stay atââ He did not get to finish, however, because a group of Ravenclaws walked in, loudly chattering about the latest updates to their common room.
You quickly return to the back of the class, where your seat is. You gather up the ingredients that you know you will need today, occasionally catching the Potions Master's eye. The hint of anger had still not left his eye as the class progressed. If anything, as students messed up their potions left and right, it only seemed to intensify.
Unfortunately, you did not get the chance to speak with him after class either, as some Slytherin boy had somehow managed to explode his potion. Sending shards of his now broken cauldron everywhere. None of it hit you, but others were not so lucky. Leaving Professor Snape to usher some to the hospital wing.
++++++
Wednesday 6 PM Potions Classroom
It had been an hour into your lesson, except it wasnât really a lesson this time. He was just sitting there quietly grading papers some 2nd years had written. Of course you two had had nights like this where you did not brew a potion or he did not give you advice, but you usually talked about something at least. This was plain torture. You had attempted to talk a few times, asking about his day or how the exploding cauldron had gone, and all you would get in response was a few quiet mumbles you could not make out.
So you sat in your chair with your thoughts staring at the wall behind him. You had been thinking earlier that day. During a free period, you wrote a letter. Well, you wrote a few, but there was only one you put any amount of effort into. The letter to Professor Severus Snape. Who now seemed as if he was ignoring you, but that was beside the point. You knew what needed to be done. You did not provide good to the world; you were not wanted at school or home, so it was better to remove yourself from the equation.
As you mulled over your thoughts, Snape stood up and looked down at you, âItâs 7. You should head to dinner. Get something to eat.â He had no emotion to his voice, just a plain, monotone sound.
âOh, yeah,â you stand from your seat, your knees cracking a bit. You walk towards the door before you stop and turn back around. âProfessor, take this,â you hand him the letter, âbut donât read it until dinner is completely over.â Before he can respond, you walk out of his classroom and begin your jog from the lowest point in the castle to the highest.
++++++
Wednesday 7:45 PM Potions Classroom
No one ever willingly visited Professor Snape's classroom, and since he had no detentions scheduled for tonight, he was free to do basically whatever he pleases. However, something was poking at his thoughts. The letter.
His students had given it to him and then basically ran out of his classroom. Of course he was suspicious of what it was, but they told him not to open it until after dinner time was over completely. That would be 15 minutes from now. He did not want to go against their wishes, but it was indeed very hard knowing how they ran out like that.
There was also a nagging feeling in his gut that maybe he should go ahead and look. If something was wrong, then he could stop it early. Or if it was a prank letter set to go off after a certain time, he would not get pranked.
He decided to go with his gut and tore into the letter. It was handwritten, and he immediately recognized the students handwriting.
Dear Professor Snape, I wanted to thank you for being so good to me during my time at Hogwarts. I will never forget it. You are a wonderful teacher and a wonderful person to learn from. I see you as more than a teacher but as somewhat of a father. Considering mine is the way he is, I suppose the bar isnât very high, is it? Oh well. Thank you for all youâve done for me. Iâm sorry I always pestered you so much and took up your time. By the time you read this, I will be gone for good. Thank you, Professor Snape. For everything. Sincerely, [y/n]
His hands shook as he read the letter, not believing what he was reading. He realized he might not be too late and immediately began his search for you. He was not sure where you were, but he knew where most students would go if they got the idea to do this.
The stairs are what would slow most people down; luckily for him, he could fly. So fast as he could, as soon as he got to those stairs, he began his ascent. Flying past them as quickly as he could, terrified he would arrive at the top to find he was too late.
To his great relief, when he reached the top, he saw the silhouette of you standing at the edge of the tower. Carefully he crept up behind you, not making a sound, then suddenly he snatched you away from the edge. He grabbed you by your midsection, wrapping his arms around you and turning forcefully to bring you away from the edge of the tower, giving you no chance to fight him at all.
âYou idiotic child, what are you thinking?â He immediately starts to scold you for not thinking about what you might be feeling. He quickly sees the tears and fear on your face and stops a look of shock coming across his own face. âWait, no quit, stop crying,â he stares at you for a moment before averting his eyes and uncomfortably hugging you.
Heâs not quite sure what to do in this situation, but when you melt into him and start to sob onto his shoulder, he goes ahead and makes himself comfy on the floor, determining he will be here for quite a while. You cling onto him, sobbing violently, until you suddenly choke out, âIâm sorry.â
âDon't be,â he just says quietly as he holds onto you. He rubs your back, hoping you will feel a bit soothed by this. He keeps you close to him, just holding on to you and rubbing your back as you cry on him.
Once you calm down some, he carefully pulls you back from him. âWhy on Earth would you think of doing something like that?â
âNo one wants me, even my parents; they donât want me.â You start to panic again, tears forming again, but he hushes you quickly, pulling you to him again and rubbing your back.
âI was going to offer you to stay with me if you wanted. There is a program founded by Hogwarts that all of the teachers are required to be signed up for. They are able to take in students that have bad home lives. Almost every teacher here has done it at some point,â he gently explains to you, keeping his arms firm around you, noticing your starting to shiver because of the cold air.
You look up at him shocked, and he quickly starts to speak again. âI mean, if you want, you can always go to Professor McGonagall or Professor-â
"No, I want to stay with you. Can I actually?â you ask excitedly, your heart swelling at the thought of having a place to live this summer. With someone you actually like this summer.
âYou can. How about we worry about that later and get down from the astronomy tower?â he suggests.
You nod, noticing how cold you were. You wipe your face before getting up and following him down the stairs of the tower. For the most part, the walk was quiet, the only sound being the sound of your footsteps until he spoke in a low tone, âYou know I care about you? You're my favorite student.â
You look over at him, surprised by his sudden words, but nod, âI figured I was your favorite.â
âIf you think of throwing yourself off some large object again, how about you come to my office next time? Promise me you will.â
You nod your head, âI promise, Professor.â

A letter to the Fable SMP
I'm going to pour my heart out into this post. So sit down, take a breath, and get ready for a walk through all the ways my life has been impacted. This is pretty heavy.
Warnings: discussions of bullying, death of people and animals
If you don't know me; Hi, my name is Rin Silas. You know me better as tumblr user Lucenare.
This starts before Fable began, with a buildup to me losing my love of cosplay, and what brought that back.
When I was in high school, I was a horror SFX cosplayer. I was going to cons all the time, finding my niche in the local cosplay community. Some of my friends came to be professional cosplayers. I did not. When I got diagnosed with POTS, cosplay became hard for me. I wasn't sure how to do it. I stopped being active. My self image plummetted. And one of my "friends" turned out to be an awful person. A professional cosplayer, who was a bully and made that self image worse. I couldn't go to certain cons for years because of her. She would bully people until they left if she saw them-- and she was so popular in the community. It crushed me, to see her rise in the community. It stripped the joy out of cosplay. I didn't *want* to be in this space, and it soured the craft.
I wanted to get back into it, but I was unsure of how. I started working on clothes again, making my outfit for senior prom. At my highest point mentally in all of high school, finally being creative in a way that made me feel good again, with a clear path for college; the world shut down. With all that free time, and multiple generations worth of fabric hordes, I started sewing again. My grandmother got me a graduation present- a heavy duty sewing machine all to myself. No more borrowing my moms. I sewed so many plushies durring that time- but I still wasnt making cosplays again.
And then the DreamSMP happened.
And then I signed up for Tiktok.
And suddenly, I had all of these tiktok cosplayers cosplaying minecraft cubitos all over my feed. No fear, just fun. All different body types- going crazy with it, not being "canon accurate"-- two things my "friend" had strongly ridiculed me for. And it was great. It felt so good, from my heavily sterilized cosplay scene, to see so much freedom and love put into it. I was too scared to cosplay again, but I saw a love put into it that I hadn't seen since I went to BLERD, a smaller local con geared towards minorities. All of these cosplayers- whos names we all know, as so many of them were part of Fable- let me see the love in something that had been taken from me again. And years later, I love cosplaying again. Without this, i don't know if I would have started cosplaying again.
And then those cosplayers started to cosplay their own characters- and they were all *connected*. It was such a pure form of enjoyment- watching people love what they had made enough to cosplay from it. And then I found myself tuning in to Sherbert's streams, mid corruption arc.
And that's how it started. My love for Fable. The impact it had on me- the vessel for healing my relationship with cosplay. I also healed my relationship with makeup in this time.
Throughout 2022, Fable was a source of fun, and something to look forward to. I loved it. It became a hyperfixation. I started cosplaying again, privately. I wanted to show my love for what was bringing me joy. As my grandmother who gifted me my sewing machine's health worsened, I met George witchcrafting in person for the first time, my work closed for remodel, and I became my grandmother's caretaker. Being woken up in the night to help her, until eventually I was sleeping at her house. Stay awake until 3 playing splatoon, wake up and watch whatever fable lore was happening to pass the time around caring for her.
By the end of this, I was waking up at 8 am and going to bed at 3 am, waking my mother up so I could get a couple hours of much needed sleep before doing it all again. Having to call my brother to watch her for a couple minutes at a time so I could go outside and cry. She was only on hospice for a week, that's how fast she got bad. She passed a week before Christmas, the night before my work re-opened. I was the only one awake.
Fable SMP became my escape from the grief and pain. The funeral was the day after my 21st birthday.
In Febuary 2023, I came home from my trip to visit my beloved GB for our anniversary, and my cat was sick. She passed a couple days later. Fable was once again my primary outlet. Being silly on tumblr was my primary outlet. I changed my url on my minecraft blog from craftsunemineku to lucenare. As more random cast members started following me, Ghosty started to mess with me in replies. I never let anyone know my twitch, though. I didn't want anyone to. I wanted to remain an Entity on tumblr.
Until Ghosty send me a meme, with an accidental spoiler of Allerion's mural in it. And that was too funny to pass up. The next time Ghosty was live, I subbed with prime, and hit him with the famed "oh tumblr user ghostyjpg we're really in it now" in my sub message.
I wouldn't be where I am today without that, truly. We were silly goofy, I got goofier on tumblr. I had been wanting to get back into streaming, as I had started to right before my grandmother's health had declined and had to stop almost immediately. I became a mod for Haunt, Ghosty's viewer smp.
In early July, I lost one of my guinea pigs. Jack's partner, Phineas. Phin was a birthday present I got when I turned 17. He was my emotional support for grief especially, and the world took him away when I needed him the most. A month later, the world took away my other cat, too. Three pets, and my grandmother.
Being Tumblr User Lucenare got me through the worst time of my life.
And then I started streaming again. And Ghosty grabbed me by the scruff of my neck and flung me. And because of that, I'm now a streamer, I've made so many friends. I changed my major-- the trajectory my life was on changed.
And here I am.
Without Fable, I would have never healed my relationship with cosplay the way I did. Without Fable, I would never have met the people I have. Without Fable, I wouldn't have started streaming again. Without Fable, I wouldn't have started Terramortis.
I hope that Terramortis can do for someone a fraction of what Fable did for me.
To Heyhay: thank you for being a creator I could look up to. For inspiring me to bring my crazy UV makeup into cosplay. Sorry Rae's Big Naturals ended up being a major bit on my streams, I dont know how that happened. Also thank you for the elytra tutorial on your youtube that is my Rock for texture pack things.
To Sherbert: thank you for helping heal my relationship with cosplay, even before you knew I existed. I will always appreciate that. Thank you for inspiring me to script out CMVs, showing your processes to the world, and inspiring me to change my major to one I actually enjoy.
To Ocie: Thank you for helping me get my dog back from Ethan and Eagle on EOD in season 4. Unbreakable bond of theres a rule written about us.
To Beck: my fellow old bay hater, thank you for joining my smp and all the silly conversations we've had. I cant wait to work with you more going forward.
To Connor: One day we need to make teas together on stream. You are a delight to know and never let anyone tell you otherwise. I can't wait to see where these bugs go.
To Ven: thank you for joining in on the occasional splaturday, even in chat. You are so brave for the costuming you're doing right now, I hope we can hang out more in the future and do cool things
And to Ghosty: Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for everything. Without you, I don't know where I'd be. Thank you for playing splatoon with me, for the silly messages I get, for all the little spoilers, accidental or otherwise. Thank you for helping me through one of the worst years of my life, before you even knew me. I genuinely did not know if I was going to make it through 2023. I did, in no small part thanks to you. I made it through and I thrived and the foundation for it was so simple. A meme. Some jokes. An accidental spoiler.
It's funny how fast your life can change.
So, to the cast of Fable:
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for building this story and this community. This community that saved me, that guided me through the dark. That allowed me to meet my dear friends that I have now. I am meeting so many people at vidcon this year, so many friends that I didn't have a year ago are now some of my closest.
I can't wait to see what comes next, and I can't wait to create with some of you.
Thank you, so much, for everything.

LAST CHAPTER â MASTERLIST â NEXT CHAPTER
Youâve never taken so many days off from your studies in your whole life. It couldnât be helped, but you couldnât stop yourself from feeling guilty for taking the Tuesday off. Maybe if you went to class, your punishment from Megumi would have been a lot less severe. With what little time youâve had to yourself since you awoke from your two-day long slumber, youâve done nothing but think and overthink. He invited those two girls out from your class and planned the whole thing, knowing theyâd do anything he asked. Youâre even willing to bet one of those girls was who he was fingering upstairs outside of the toilets. Your memory is choppy, but you remember what they said to you clear as day.
That pill Megumi told us to slip in her drink was really strong, huh?
Every time those words play in your mind you couldnât stop yourself from crying. How could someone be so evil? You donât know what you did to warrant this, any of this. It was extreme, it was heartless, and you felt stabbing pangs in your heart as you thought this might be happening until you graduate.
Maybe you should transfer.
Maybe you should leave him, Yuuji, your studies, everything behind.
You finally woke up on Friday, and didnât know a minute of peace. The police interviewed you, telling you the girls could face up to a maximum of ten years for drugging you. It was sick, however, that it wouldnât be the case. You were an unreliable source because of your intoxication, and nobody else had witnessed them spiking you.
Of course Megumi got off scot-free since he didnât actually do it and there was no way you could prove he masterminded the whole thing. The authorities were sympathetic, but it was out of their hands.
Yuuji has barely spoken since the incident. He knows you're too frightened and upset to talk about it for now, but he's at least thankful you were being honest with the police. Even though it came to nothing. He wants to murder Megumi with his bare hands. That is why he didnât speak. Because all of his energy needed to go into taking care of you, making you feel better. And if he starts talking, if he starts asking questions, heâll lose all rationale.
He wonât be responsible for his actions or what he would do to his former best friend.
Your insides are raw, you canât eat, all you can do is sleep. Fragile is the only way to describe your body; each and every movement you make feels like a gargantuan task. Yuuji is running around after you; he's everything in his power to help you through this.
Although he was slightly intoxicated himself when you returned from the club, he managed to sit you in the bathtub while he showered you. He did his best to remove the paint from your body, but his priority was clearing you of vomit and urine, and the vile word that had been smeared across your skin in lipstick. He immediately put your clothes (save for the t shirt that he threw in the bin) in the washing machine and dressed you in loose comfy pyjamas before carrying you to bed. He made sure to keep you on your side with a sick bucket on the floor next to your bedside table.
Gojo stayed for a while, wanting to make sure you were okay, and he wanted to keep an eye on Yuuji . He had no idea what to tell him since he didnât know what had happened. He managed to keep it together while the pair of them speculated. All he could see in his mind was your frail body being carried by those wonderful women who chose to help you. Your shirt had been cut open with precision, telling him it was a premeditated attack. Somebody brought scissors into a nightclub, they knew they were going to do this to you. He had a niggling sensation that it was Megumi, but he wasnât sure since he hadnât seen him at the club. So, the only other people he could think of were those girls, the girls who claimed to be your friend.
He tortured himself for leaving you. He didnât want to fucking leave you, but he did, because heâs an idiot. He knew he should have stayed with you, something was nagging at him to protect you, but he didnât. Itadori couldnât possibly feel any worse, because he should have known better. He did know better, but he ignored his instincts anyway.
He did feel worse again, though, when he woke up the next morning and you were still fast asleep. He didnât notice the previous night, but in the glittering morning sun peeking through the blinds he saw your neck. He saw the blushing blue blooms, unmistakable finger marks etched into your poor throat. Not only had you been publicly humiliated, but youâd also been outright attacked.
Yuuji encouraged you to tell the police about the attack too, you were sober then, you remembered that Megumi did it to you. But again, it was your word against his. They couldnât find anyone to corroborate your story. As far as they were concerned there was nothing more they could do.
Everything was hopeless. The system had failed you. You wanted to escape, to leave and never look back. Forget about this whole incident, the worst few days of your entire life and it was all his fault.
It was all Megumi Fushiguroâs fault.
The minute you found some energy, you got yourself out of bed to discover your boyfriend in the front room. He immediately jumps to his feet and to the kitchen so that he could make you a drink. You sit down in the armchair, bringing your legs up and crossing them over one another.
Heâs never seen you like this. Youâre normally so happy and full of energy, and you're the most glamorous girl heâs ever met. Priding yourself on your fashion and appearance has always been important to you. But Yuuji barely recognises the girl in front of him today. Despite him washing your hair, it was wiry and almost greasy looking. You were paler than pale, he wouldnât dare say it, but he thought you looked like youâd just been dug up. Your eyes are so bloodshot, he could barely stomach looking at them. There isnât a patch of white in either of them. The bags under your eyes were so black, he asked you a few times if you remember anyone punching you. You shook your head insistently; you're just so damn tired.
He sets two drinks down in front of you. A green tea and a glass of ice-cold water. He isnât sure what youâd be in the mood for, so he decided to give you options.
âHow are you feeling?â he asks stupidly, knowing the answer.
How were you feeling isnât a stupid question, because even you didnât have an answer.
You're happy, happy it seems like you were finally getting over the worst of the drug youâd been spiked with.
You're sad, sad that this had happened to you, and you arenât sure how much worse things could get.
You're terrified, terrified that despite doing the right thing, despite telling the police what had happened so they could deliver justice to the perpetrators, theyâd gotten away with everything and were free to continue making your life hell.
âIâm tired, Yuuji⌠so fucking tired.â you sigh, resting your forehead in one hand and rubbing your temples.
He knows you're tired, of course he fucking knows.
But your boyfriend feels helpless, he wants to lash out, to yell, to scream even. But he canât, he canât because he knows you wouldnât want any of that. You wouldnât want him taking the law into his own hands and getting in trouble.
The whole situation is a fucking nightmare.
As your eyes remain shut while you cradle your aching head, a memory pops into your mind. Not about the night, you're sick of remembering that night. But you lift your gaze to find Yuujiâs, and he looks back at you inquisitively.
âYuuji could youââ and before youâve even finished talking, he's on his feet, ready and waiting for your instructions, âcould you get the letter my parents sent⌠I forgot to open it.â you request.
Yuuji rushes back with the fancily sealed envelope in record time. He placed it delicately in your hands before returning to his spot on the couch. It feels like a punishment to hold it in your hands. Albeit impossible, you considered whether Megumi had been behind this too. Had he somehow managed to find out who your parents are and mastermind another situation to make your life hell?
Deep down you knew it could only be one of two things.
A cheque, or an invitation. There were two conditions your parents gave you if they were to let you attend a public university rather than a prestigious (pretentious) academy.
You were forbidden from living on campus. They didnât want to run the risk of anything happening to you in your dorm room or dealing with uncouth roommates. You werenât sure what concerned them so much about living with other students, but you wonder if they were concerned theyâd get you hooked on drugs or perform premarital sex.
At least youâve never willingly indulged in the former.
But the second condition was they got to choose your place of residence. So that is how you are an unemployed student who can afford to live in a house of her own.
Your rich parents pay for it.
They werenât too pleased to discover you almost immediately let Yuuji move in with you too, but they didnât really have a say in the matter. And as far as your sex life was concerned, if they wanted to believe you were still a virgin and werenât fucking your boyfriend, that was on them.
Peeling off the pretty pink seal seems to take an eternity. You donât want to know what's inside, Yuuji looks like he's about to burst any minute if you donât open it quicker. He's on tenterhooks, practically hanging off the edge of the sofa as he waits for you to open it. Once the seal is removed, you look into Yuujiâs eyes. You take a massive gulp as your fingers begin to convulse with fear.
âDo you want me to open it?â He asks, you shake your head.
You softly move the envelope flap upwards, frightened fingers poke inside to grab whatever it contains. Your eyes are screwed shut as you pull it out. You can feel your heartbeat in your ears, your brain is pulsing against your skull in anticipation. The dread you feel at the thought of what was on the piece of paper is too much. But before Yuuji can intervene and read it for you, you find the courage to look.
You exhale disappointedly flipping the paper over for Yuuji to see and read.
An invitation.
âSo, your folks finally bought a second manor home huh? Must be niceâŚâ he trails off.
âI should have read it sooner, weâre going to have to start packing so we can set off early tomorrow.â you explain as you stand to your feet. But before you can retreat upstairs to your bedroom to begin packing the essentials, Yuuji grabs the flesh of your upper arm and stops you.
âWe arenât going.â he tells you. You look at him curiously, unsure of how he came to that conclusion. It isnât optional, you would never avoid attending a family event no matter what and he knows that. âYouâre still recovering, you get that right? Thereâs no way we are going.â he adds, earning a smile from you.
âItâll be fine Yuuji, itâs only for the weekend.â you attempt to alleviate any tension or concerns from him, but he simply shrugs you off and brings your body closer to his so he can stare down into your eyes.
âWe arenât going. Iâm saying this for you. Itâs too soon, Iâm sure if you explain what happened theyâll understand.â he tries to reason with you, to make you see sense. But all you could offer in return to his words is a cruel scoff.
âYouâre not serious? If I tell them, theyâll enrol me into a different school, they just need one excuse. I donât want anyone to know, Iâm embarrassed enough. I donât want this, want him to rule my life Yuuji. I want to go to my parentsâ housewarming party and forget the whole thing.â you tell him sternly, freeing yourself from his hold and continue your journey to the bedroom.
âButââ
âI mean it Yuuji. We are going whether you like it or not,â you spit as you turn to face him once again, âIâd appreciate your support right now. I just want to feel normal, so please, come and help me pack.â
You look at him as his face droops. He looks devastated and you truly feel for him. He's beating himself up over what happened, and you couldnât do or say anything that would ease his guilt. He's doing everything he can to make it up to you, to make up for his own self-appointed shame, all he wants to do is protect you, but it seems he canât do anything right. So, he relents.
âOkay."
The car ride to your parentsâ new address is painful. You set off ridiculously early so that youâd be there on time. And by on time, you mean early. Because being on time would in fact be being late.
The biggest reason Yuuji doesnât want to attend is to protect you after your attack. But it certainly didnât help matters that he hates going to see your parents. Heâs only met them a handful of times, and they are nice enough, but he knows they look down their noses at him and donât think he's good enough for you. It shouldnât matter that he isnât from a wealthy family, he loves you and would do anything for you.
Heâd probably die for you.
And that should be enough to prove that heâs worthy of your love.
Itâs enough for you, and thatâs all you care about.
You opt to wear a black and white pinstripe pantsuit. You know no matter what you wear your mother will have something to say about it, so you do your best to dress comfortably yet sophisticated.
Yuuji is dressed nicely too, he thought the comfy, yet sophisticated look was the right move too, and since he knows your parents disapprove of him it wouldnât matter what he wore.
He's dreading the snide comments all weekend, it would never cease, but as long as he has you by his side, he knows you can both get through it.
He has one hand on the wheel and one on your thigh, he's gripping awfully tight. You suspect a combination of nerves and an overwhelming desire to protect you. When youâre right around the corner of the entrance of your parentsâ house, you decide to apply a fresh layer of gloss. You donât expect Yuujiâs fingers to begin wandering their way towards your sex, so you yelp at the feeling of his pinkie finger slowly tracing over your clothed clit.
âTake em off,â he demands.
Your heart is racing, you arenât sure what you should do. You want it, you want him. You love his touch, you love him, you want to be with him and feel normal. But youâre right outside of your parentsâ house. You donât have time and it isnât wise. But before you can answer him, heâs delved his fingers down your pants and is awkwardly rubbing your clit with the irritating obstruction in the way.
âOff.â he tells you again. You ask him to pull over, so he does. It isnât anywhere hidden, but he doesnât have time for that. He just wants to make you feel good before you go inside.
You lower your trousers and underwear just enough to give him access. You do your best to keep the volume down, but he feels so good. These few days have been the longest youâve gone without being intimate with Yuuji. And youâre tense, fuck youâre so tense. He can feel it in the way youâre holding back, the way you donât want to let yourself go. Because all heâs doing is lightly tracing your sensitive bundle of nerves and youâre already dying to cum.
âYuujiâŚâ you half gasp half moan at him, screwing your eyes closed as one of your hands grips the arm heâs using to pleasure you and the other is digging nails into the back of your head rest.
âYou wanna cum? âm not stoppinâ you baby. Cum for me.â he instructs.
And itâs humiliating, really, how submissive your cunt is to its owner. Youâre gushing around his gentle fingers as more and more slick pumps out of you. Your chest is heaving, but he leans over to you to kiss your cheek.
He demands that you face him so he can kiss you through your orgasm.
He wants to swallow your moans and remember what a good girl you are for him.
When you finally relax, youâre almost furious. Furious that youâre dripping wet and youâre going to have to ruin your panties and probably your trousers too. Furious that you wonât be able to clean up instantly because youâll have to socialise for a while with your family, and furious that Yuuji was stupid enough to think any of this was a good idea.
But when you see him sensually lick his fingers clean, you canât deny the way your pussy jumps at the sight. Heâs so fucking perfect. His innocent face performing such a lewd act excites you. Youâre so lucky to have him. Because after he finishes cleaning his fingers, he opens the glove compartment on the passenger side and reveals a packet of baby wipes for you to clean yourself up with. He cups the crown of your head and brings you closer to him, leaving a simultaneously hard yet soft kiss on your forehead, and whispering sweet nothings into your hair.
âSuch a good girl fâme baby. Yâlook so pretty when you cum for me. âm so fuckinâ proud of you.â he murmurs into your scalp.
It takes everything inside of you to not unzip his trousers and suck him off to show him just how much you fucking love him. But instead, you hurriedly clean the slick from your folds and Yuuji finally turns into the driveway of your parentsâ new estate.
And holy shit.
You didnât think a house could possibly be bigger than the first.
They deemed the previous butler worthy of staying, apparently. He's a nice man who shows you and Yuuji to where everyone is located. The house is baron, which seems ridiculous to you. Whatâs the point of having a housewarming party if no one is going to be in the house?
Instead, everyone is situated in the garden. You canât spot your parents immediately. But there are a lot of familiar faces. Not family friends, although thatâs what your mother and father will claim they are.
No, they were nothing but names.
Big names to spread the word about what a beautiful new home your parents have. There is no point in having a new manor house unless your parents can brag about it.
But you do eventually spot them. And a man who you could only see the back of. He's tall, likely around 6â4â in height. He's moving his arms while your parents look at him with an intense gaze, he's story telling. He's well built, extremely large and muscular. It's unusual to you that he's dressed so casually.
You're curious as to how your parents know him, he doesnât look like the type of person they would allow into their social circle.
And you didnât recognise him at all.
They all reposition themselves onto a nearby table, Yuuji stands with you as you watch the conversation unfold. You're totally enraptured by the way they converse with each other. And then the stranger sits down. He sits down and gives you the perfect view of the right side of his face.
When you see his profile you just about fainted. Yuuji catches you in his arms as other party goers look concerned. Your parents have finally noticed you, now, and rush over to see you, the man follows, and there's no mistaking him.
While your parents approach with a hastened pace, he almost dawdles behind them. Yuuji lowered you to the ground while everyone fusses around you, asking what was wrong and if you need some water. But you have a clear view of him as he carries on coming towards you.
His hair is black as the night sky in a small country town. It isnât awfully long, but longer than any other respectable guest who is here today. It looks soft and shiny, but it knew to settle and not move around too much. His green eyes glisten in the sparkling sunshine, and you can see another set of green eyes so vividly in your mind. A pair of green eyes that made your heart race and send sheer terror through your entire being. But what gives it away, what really gives it away, iss the scar.
That fucking scar on the right side of his mouth. It looks old, like heâd had it for years. It's so striking, and that is how you knew there was no mistaking.
It was him.
It was the man from Megumiâs sketchbook.
It takes you a while to calm down after everyone had been fussing over you. But Yuuji had hooked his arms underneath you so he could carry you to a nearby chair.
Your mother snaps her fingers and demands a member of staff instantly get you a drink. Your father dismisses everyone and tells them to continue enjoying the function, he towers over you while your mother crouches on the balls of her feet and strokes your hands.
Yuuji is behind you, circling your shoulders with his thumbs in an attempt to soothe you.
And then there's him.
He's sitting on the same table as you, not paying too much attention to you but wanting to stick around to see that you were okay.
When you have a glass of water in your hand, you down it in just a few seconds and request another. Water dribbles down the sides of your mouth which your mother quickly dabs with a handkerchief.
You were breathe so heavily and so gravelly.
Your mother looks furious at your lack of manners but didnât want to make a scene in front of the guests. Your gaze is fixed on the man youâd only seen in drawings, he put his phone into his pocket as he decides to give you all his full attention.
âNice to see ya again kid,â he smiles, the little scar on his lips pulling so deliciously.
Youâre certain youâve never met him, so you were dumbfounded that he claimed to remember you. You didnât have the energy to speak, it was like something had robbed you of your words.
Your lips open wide enough to speak, but whatever words youâd planned on forming died dead in your mouth when you heard words coming from behind you instead.
âYeah itâs been a while Mr. Fushiguro, didnât expect to see you here, sir.â Yuuji replies.
Of course.
Of course Yuuji would know who the mystery man is in the drawings. Heâs Megumiâs best friend after all, or he was. Mr. Fushiguro, the name alone made your skin crawl.
Another one of him.
Your mouth is agape, your eyes finding the unknown relative of Megumiâs. He waves his hand around, totally brushing Yuuji off.
âCut that crap out now kid,â he begins, âcall me Toji.â he tells him. Yuuji nods, acquiescing to his request. And then Tojiâs eyes find yours. You felt so small under his gaze. âAnd I havenât seen you since you were⌠Four, maybe?â he tells you.
âI- uhâŚâ you clear your throat, âI donât know you.â you admit.
He laughs, really laughs. You guess he appreciates your honesty. He crosses one leg over the other as he begins to swing back in his chair.
âDonât sweat it. Iâm not one to remember someoneâs name either.â he confesses, studying you. He does know you; he really knows you. Heâs so comfortable to stare at you and examine you. You want to know how he knows you; you want to inquire as to what relation he is to Megumi, but before you can speak Yuuji talks from behind you once again.
âAre the rest of the Zenâin clan here?â he wonders, his grip of your shoulders tightening.
âUnfortunately,â he responds, your father jostles his elbow into him playfully which makes Toji grin. âTheyâre around somewhere, more are probably on their way.â he explains. Yuuji nods before leaning down to you, his mouth close enough to your ear that his breath alone forces goosebumps to pinch and form across your whole body,
âWe have to go, now.â he buzzes to you.
He doesnât wait for you to answer before he grabs your hand and drags you away from the table. You both say your polite goodbyes before heading through the manor again. Your parents are dumbfounded, and worse, disgusted at Yuujiâs abrupt rudeness.
âWhatâs going on Yuuji?â you ask. But he ignores you, pulling you in the direction of the front door.
He swings it open, and youâre both as still as statues. Of all the places, of all the places in the fucking worldâŚ
Youâre both staring out of the door, and now that youâve seen Toji in person, the resemblance is striking.
Megumiâs finger is rested on the doorbell heâs holding in. When the three of you break out of your trances, the raven-haired man in front of you clears his throat.
His face doesnât change. He looks bored, and you hate him for it. Itâs that same static facial expression he always has. Itâs the way he somehow manages to keep getting away with murder. Because no one would ever believe that this quiet, almost silent person keeps making your life unbearable. His vision rolls between staring at you and then staring at Yuuji. But finally, heâs settled on you.
His eyes are almost as intense as the other Fushiguroâs out in the garden. His lipâs part, and his words make your skin crawl.
âWell well. What do we have here?â

I donât want to misunderstand and make things worse for people. When you (and others) say donât vote, do you mean donât vote for biden or donât vote at all?
Hey thanks for sending this in. No worries I understand the confusion.
I said in the tags in the previous post that I think people should vote for the reps in that list because they can be bullied into doing things based on the traditional means of opinion sharing (calling, writing letters, etc) and plus it's a nice little "we meant it when we said we would not be voting for you when we called" to the other dems. Basicially, using your vote strategically as a threat and sending a message instead of just blindly voting blue because red is "worse" and not because you actually like any of Democrats policies.
When I personally say I'm not going to vote, I am still voting in local elections and school boards and things like that. I definitely think you should always vote on the school board, especially, if nothing else. But I don't think I will be voting for major politicians like presidency â at least next election. I don't live in any of the districts of the ceasefire reps either.
Not voting and seeing people not voting would make people change their strategies. They know they can't rely on votes naturally anymore â they actually have to earn them based on material change. That's my personal intention, at least, with not voting. That and... like hell am I going to vote for the party and people that called for the blood of Palestinians. I do genuinely think they're bad people that no one should ever support under any circumstances, and I'll stick by that.
People mention voting for third party and I've recieved asks about it but.... I'm not sure. I think being president of the most powerful country in the world changes you fundamentally. We (palestinians) were hopeful for Obama when he went into office, and he did nothing, largely abandoning us, and he was taught by Edward Said himself. He was friends with Khalidi. He knew what was happening and still he made the decisions that he did.
Now I don't think you should just blindly follow whatever anyone says on the matter. I'm only giving you my opinion on this based on personal experience and past circumstances. You should genuinely, honestly, think about how your vote impacts others, especially around the world. Voting "blue" just because it might be easier for you here, then largely ignoring the entire world that's affected by the US, is, in my opinion, a pretty selfish decision. Besides, as someone who is disabled, Biden has already abandoned a large swath of people and basically left them to die with how he's dealt with covid. The migrant concentration camps are still there. He can't do anything about the Supreme Court and their messed up decisions. He won't do anything meaningful to protect any type of person in the states either, so what are we voting for exactly?
Voting is not a chore you have to do to keep your rights. Voting is a participation in your political system depending on the circumstances surrounding the things you care about. When that political system largely ignores you, I don't see a purpose in participating and showing support â because that's what Voting is, support â to people you fundamentally disagree with and those that don't really care about you.

Opinions and Interpretation ( Epic Spoilers)
Author's Note (As long as itâs not hurting/attacking anyone mentally, physically, or emotionally, people are entitled to their own opinions, own beliefs, own ideas, and nobody is allowed to make you feel bad for your thoughts/ideas.)
Okkkkkkk, I had a long day, and this was bothering me so I wanted to make a post about this so humor me. I have problems with an issue in and outside the Epic community, so that is something I will speak on. Also an inappropriate situation happened earlier this week that caused someone to become extremely uncomfortable so I am going to discuss that as well. And imma teach this up, so sit down and letâs talk. (This issue is a separate post)
Opinion: a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.
As long as an opinion is not hurting anyone emotionally, spiritually, mentally, physically, you are free to speak your mind in the proper time and place. Your opinions on things, with the things above in mind, should be respected because you are entitled to your opinion. Itâs yours and it is precious, cause you are precious. đĽ°
Same way switched. You certainly donât call the opposite partyâs opinions âcringeâ or âweirdâ just because you donât like them. Are you allowed to discuss why you donât like it? As long as you are being respectful, go ahead. Do what you do but certainly donât diminish anyoneâs ideas. They are precious.Â
Now, the jet pack animation in the Vengeance Saga. Was it unexpected? Hell yeah. Would you like to have seen Jorge choose a different orchestration on how Odysseus got out of water? Maybe. But do we call his idea âcringe?âÂ
Class: No
Absolutely not! He has stated before how video games have affected the creation of Epic and how he wants to demonstrate it in the animatic. So why are we saying it was âstupidâ or âweird?â Is it inaccurate? Unless Homer has a trashcan of scrapped jetpack scenes we have no idea about, yeah it is. But it is fun. And I think that is what we missed. We are allowed to have fun, as long as we are not posing it as accurate information.
Correct me if I am wrong, but Jorge never said this was a âon the markâ musical of the Odyssey. He is gonna take liberties, and unless a Greek Mythology Association sues him for not following the story to the letter, is it hurting anyone? Do the people who like an accurate retelling of Odyssey have to like Epic? No, absolutely not. Well, I mean unless someone has a gun to your head.
I have mutuals who donât like Epic, and that is absolutely ok! They arenât doing anything illegal, and neither are we. UNLESS we are telling and or arguing with Greek Religion Experts, mythographists and the like, that Epic is God's honest truth. In that case, we need to read The Odyssey together and apologize to them.
However, if you are gonna listen to it and just shit talk about it, bullying the creator and the fandom for creating/liking it, scrutinizing the road they chose, and just being a Debbie downer about it, do it by yourself.Â
You know what is great too? Sparkle* The Power of Animation *Sparkle. Animators donât like it, you do it. And that is not an taunting attack like, âoh if you think you can do better, then do itâ blah blah nonsense. This is the glory of your talents. You are allowed to let your mind travel in the way that it does, I encourage it. When I saw the prosthetic Poseidon, I didnât say in the comments, âactually Poseidon didnât have a prosthetic, this is cringe and inaccurate.â I didnât say anything in the comments cus I was screaming and shrieking like a little bitch cus of how much I loved it. I apologize to my neighbors, I was losing my crap, like OMFG, HOW ARE SO TALENTED AND WHAT IS IN YOUR MIND I WANNA SEE IT AND-sorry Iâm trying to get to a point.
(Also go check out Neal Illustrators Etsy shop, the pins are up and scrumptious)
All are talented artists/animators. Iâm pretty sure when he watches your stuff, he gets so giddy and excited. No one idea is steady law. We all are allowed to shine and share. I wanna see your talent and ability.Â
So please, please. Epic fans, if you donât like Jorgeâs ideas, look towards the animators. If you donât like the animator's ideas, do your own. And if you canât, imagine your own.Â
But please, do not send hate or nasty messages toward Jorge and his team or to people in/within the community. Jorge is allowed to have fun, I am allowed to have fun, you are allowed to have fun. We are all allowed to have safe, healthy fun. Donât spend all your time being a hater. Respect, we all deserve respect. Opinions, we all deserve to have our healthy and good-mannered opinionâs.Â
Ok? Ok. Yay!
#the vengeance saga#jorge rivera herrans#odysseus#Epic is not the Odyssey#I get so sad when people have so much haterade#Like seriously fun is legal in this country#that one is more important that this#Also with the Poseidon Stabbing#not accurate#but it got my ass#That made me shriek#And if you donât like how easy it seemed cus Poseidon is a god against a mortal#Animate it differently#Tag me I wanna see#Honestly the jet pack scene I see a Moana/Te Ka fight#Anyway I have a more important post coming#That one is more important than this#Thanks for letting me rant
